Chandler Parsons @ChandlerParsons About to be a crazy couple days 10:30 AM - 26 Jun 12 He just got here and he already knows whats up.
Good deal for the Rockets. At least we can say draft night is gonna be exciting for us. Picks or Trades coming our way!
I like Air-Bud alot but feel the Rockets got a great deal out of this one. And C-Bud should thrive under Adelman again and with K-Love and Rubio.
John Canzano @JohnCanzanoBFT Mike Ganter, Toronto Sun, says he believes Raptors will trade the No. 8 pick. Possibly to Houston, who might chase Drummond.
Agreed that most don't make an impact in their 1st year. Success in finding a rotation player or an All-Star from pick #14 and beyond really depends on how deep the draft is, how well you scout, and outright luck. Sometimes you don't see it until years later when that player has moved on to another team. 2000 Draft: # 16. Hidayet Turkoglu, Turkey # 21. Morris Peterson, Michigan State # 23. Don't forget guys we also have the Mavs draft pick which we can also package to Orlando if need be!!! Gonna be one crazy draft night
have not read the whole thread... Fair deal both ways maybe T-Wolves gave a bit much for him BUT he is what they were missing last season. -Is Budinger a shooting gaurd now? -If not what does it say about D-Will?
Why get Howard if he doesn't want to be here? He will be a one-year rental, and then he will be gone. Has Morey become so obsessed with landing a superstar that he has become irrational?
Because either way, you're better off than you are now. There's a decent probability that Dwight's current stance is an attempt to bluff his way to NYC with Deron. Once that's off the table, the Rockets surround him with strong talent and he realizes few contenders have cap room next summer... he may reconsider. If that happens, you're set as a contender for almost the next decade. If it doesn't work out, you can spin him for a couple of first rounders in a S&T and truly start a rebuilding process (likely with a top 5 pick). Either way, you're a million times better off than adding three mid-first rounders to a perpetually mediocre roster with no stars.
If we don't land Dwill and Dwight bolts, you can say bye bye to the treadmill of mediocrity for a few years! If that happens, we're screwed, but at the end of the day we'll have a high lotto pick!
We essentially got the #18 1st rd pick for 2 #44 2nd rd picks, great deal Morey!! Got me really excited leading up to the draft, hopefully it ends in a success and the rockets steal the show Thursday night!!
Morey realizes that you can't believe a word that comes out of Dwights mouth, which has been evident over the past year. Once we offer more money than anyone else (because we can) he'll accept the money if he see's we're truly fielding a playoff caliber team. Right now he doesn't want to come because he's looking at what we have right now.
Teams might be fighting it out for Lowry and one or both of our first rounders. My guess is we have deals in place with Portland and Gsw/Toronto. I'd like to think were in good shape to draft top 8.
After everything I have heard I believe this the most. We will make whatever deal is the best for the Rockets. That those deals are in a pretty decent amount available for Morey to choose from now.
I think this board overrated Kyle a smidge, as it will take atleast one of our 1st rounders to get a top 8 spot. Morey is sure a hard baller though, 18th pick for Chase is outstanding. That leaves us an option of grabbing a Moe harkess, White, or a Multrie( no idea if spelling is correct) after we make a splash. I think this draft you go for highest potential, leave the NBA ready players for the second round.
