Everything is pretty much just a combination of inspiration and evolution. Can't remember the last truly creative thing I've seen or heard of, in visual art or otherwise.

Dumbest, stinkiest, poorest people are found in artsy places. Fact.

As sad as that sounds, it's very true. I'm sure this mediocre person will become another 15 minute celebrity.

This is similar to the culture who think the dougie and cat daddy are better dances than the Rumba.

Why wouldn't it be behind glass in the first place?

You do realize how many paintings Picasso made? More than you can imagine.

I think the only painting i think i've ever seen that was behind glass was the mona lisa.

It's just not done often, even with Picasso's, van Gogh's, Renoir's, etc.

The Menils a pretty quiet museum for the most part with typically not a whole lot of traffic. Most museums have a security guard within eyesight of top pieces, but i've had experiences at the menil where I did feel that the security was not that observant.

I hear ya, and I honestly haven't seen anything behind glass either, but maybe it is time, with all the craziness - you just can't rely on decorum any longer it seems.

What an asinine excuse to deface a piece of art, if that's really what he said.

Man, I really respect my parents... Welp! Time to murder them in their sleep!

Was it even the original? Museums/galleries do hang copies out instead but don't advertise it because of security concerns and P.R. Especially if there's an entrance fee.
