The Bobcats finish the season with a 7-59 record. That is a whopping .106 winning percentage and the worst ever in the history of the NBA.
To be fair, if this wasn't lockout shortened, they might have won 10 games at least, meaning they wouldn't be the worst ever, but still pretty close.
At least now Jordan can say that he was on the best NBA team ever and owns the worst NBA team ever. How many people can ever say that?
Some fun 2012 Charlotte Bobcats facts: They don't have a single player at the league average 15.0 PER. Derrick Brown is the only guy on their team shooting above the league average 0.527 TS%. In points per possession, they are dead last in both offense and defense this year. Their point differential of about -14 per game is more than 2 points worst than the infamous 1973 Philadelphia 76ers team that won 9 games. The difference between their point differential and that of the 29th placed Cleveland Cavaliers is about the same as the gap between the #1 and #17 teams this year.
JVG said it a week ago - Michael Jordan the player would have detested Michael Jordan the owner. Congrats Charlotte, congrats MJ. Part of me would laugh, part of me would feel terrible if you don't end up with the number one pick & Anthony Davis.
I have no idea how the Bobcats convince several thousand people to attend each of their games. Oh wait, I forgot that people can go to see the other team.
And they only have a 1 in 4 chance of landing Anthony Davis. The overwhelming odds are that they will end up with Thomas Robinson, MKG, or Drummond. While they might be nice players, it certainly doesn't look as though any of them are going to be stars in the league, and the Bobcats will continue to suck miserably. And to think this is what the pro-tanking crowd wants the Rockets to turn into.
say hello to thomas robinson or kidd gilchrist....stern gives the number 1 pick to new orleans no doubt
The whole team and organization sucks and it's contagious i tell ya. Look at this play lol. In Corey's defense, the defender had great post position. It would have just been selfish to not reward him. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/p7PFUSFdKiY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
We're all aware. It wouldn't have hurt their drafting position if they tried not to have the worst winning % ever in a season by winning a couple more games. I'm sure they tried not to have that record, but couldn't get it done because the team is that bad.
Props to Jordan. If he wants something, he really puts everything he has into it. He wants the worst record in the history of the universe, he's going to get it!
+ Walker & Biyombo did not look impressive. Especially Walker (36% from the field !!!) , before the season started i was sure he'll took Augustine job but he failed ... hoping for Jordan they wont be his next draft busts after Morrison & Kwame
