Craving some crawfish and I'm back in Houston.

    2012 recommendations?

Last month I had ragun cagun and hooters. Cagun was not spicy at all, even the corn and potatoes had no spice.....like they were cooked separately. Hooters had the perfect spice but terrible crawfish, they were tiny and I must have had about 10 or so that broke up like powder.

Crawfish and Noodles on Bellaire just outside the belt. Their spicy crawfish is freakin' awesome! And really good size too. Amazing stuff.

Is there any good restaurant selling crawfish for less than $4.00/lb? The prices are just too high for me this year.

Haven't been in Houston for a while. The last place I tried was Ragin Cajun by the railroad tracks on Richmond near Edwards (59). That was pretty good. I'm no crawfish expert though.

Crazy Cajun on 290 was pretty good. The garlic crawfish were much better than the original

    Best I've seen is $6.99.

Tried to go to boiling crab but the line outside the joint on the beltway was way too long. Ended up going to raging cagun again. And I was hoping the first time I had it was a fluke but once again no spice.....nice mud bugs... but less than mild spice.

its up north though, but $5.99/lbs might be worth the drive. i think they might be the cheapest of the "asian" crawfish joints

I think wolfes gives you the most bang for your buck I think on tuesdays or is it mondays. they have like 4.99/lb and they have corn and potatoes in it.
La crawfish is just crawfish theres no accessories that comes with it.
I believe razoos is pretty cheap as well.
I know that ragin cajun is pretty expensive too.
