I can't believe somebody started a thread saying we would contend for a championship this season...How about some more easily obtainable goals, like....oh, I don't know...winning three games in a row??

 

Because 4Q is show time, take over time. Why not let me take over the game and be the hero? Opps, it is out of my control again, but I still think my One-on-one ability can bail me out. That mentality is revealed on the court. You think Rudy is that stupid to just let some players jack up 3s to win it out?

Unfortunately, I was not able to get into chat. But I heard about the game. Just when I think the Rockets are ready to take that next step to prove to me and the rest of the NBA that they are a playoff team, they take a step backward.

Playoff teams don't lose games like this one.

Worst defense I have seen all year. Couldn't stop anyone. Rudy better huddle these guys up and make them play some defense. The rebounding wasn't that great either, but Elton Brand makes everyone look bad in that department.

1. Rice should NOT be our first post option.

3. Francis please play some defense. JW and Davis have killed you the past 2 games. They drive right by Steve drawing Ming/Eddie/Cato/etc. and cause the big men to be out of position on the player they should be guarding. I am not knocking Francis, but I just wish that he could at least contain his man on a night when his shot isn't falling.

4. Shot selection! One more pass, try to get it to the open man. Who should be able to knock it down.

That being said, get the right people on the court. I like Eddie, but damn he is SO inconsistent. I would rather have KT or MoT on the floor until Eddie starts hitting his shot. I like Rice also but his defense is atrocious. I would rather have Hawkins on the floor during crunch time.

I know this is just part of having a young team, they have to learn how to win. The Rockets only have one day off, they should rest, get their heads straight and take out their frustrations on Miami!

YaoMing: My mom cook for me dim sum this morning and I felt really good this morning. I felt like scoring 40pts tonight and grapping 20rebounds. But my stomach got little sick before the game.

Reporter: Butterfly?

YM: No, i think it was the dimsum.

Reporter: Why did you think the team loss tonight?

YM: Before the game, Rudy game plan was setting up plays for me to take as many 3 point shot but I never did get the chance. As you can see we took 16 threes but only made 2. Then during the game, Rudy told the team to only pass to me if I yell out "Pass Me The ##@! Ball You Hoggers!!!" but I find the American way too offensive so that's why i receive less shots.

Reporter: They say that you're humble.

YM: $@#!~!(f!ck, in chinese) that! (Yao shyly looked down, and that got everyone in the interview room laughing!)

YM: Ahh, no commend...

YM: It use to be Boki but after so many games of him riding the bench, we don't see much of each others on the court so he found he new bench buddy with Rudy. Now nobody is my best friend because they all made me dunk too much and now I forget how to shoot those 3s.

Reporter: So how tall are you?

YM: You ask stupid question!

Reporter: If you wanted to be traded, who would you like to play for?

YM: Stop asking me stupid QUESTIONS! Just kidding! Actually I want to play Sacramento.

Reporter: Why's that?

YM: Because I will turn them into KINGS instead of Queens and I will be KING of Kings!

Reporter: What will you do from now on?

I keep hearing about the Rockets being a young team when the Rockets are not among the five youngest teams in the NBA. Our main men except Yao and Griffin are all vets. Can someone tell me exactly how young the Rockets are?

 

i didn't understand the isos with rice either. it's not like ming had an off night hitting 5 of 9. at least ming can draw the double team and kick it out for OPEN threes.

on a different note, yao ming was lucky he didn't foul out. ming obviously was going over kandi's back the whole night. the refs for some reason or another, just let it slide.

What's frustrating is the commitment- late in the game, Steve put Miller on lockdown 2 possessions in a row. The rest of the time, he gave him an escort to the basket. Eddie and Yao have no chance of stopping Brand when they're forced to compensate every single play. No chance at all.

 

SF disobeyed Rudy?

I was just listening to the fans feedback show on 610. The host talked about SF refused to call a timeout when Rudy ordered it. Of course, he went to shoot a 3 and missed. And he was just 2-3 feet away from him. Rudy needs to spank some ass. Tis socially unacceptable.
