Grimaldis and its not really close. If you dont think so, you probably dont know good pizza from Dijorno anyways.
For a city with such great food, I've always been disappointed with Houston's pizza scene, but I so want to try this place next time I'm back. http://www.29-95.com/restaurants/story/finding-houston’s-upper-crust-pizza-pizaro’s I also want to try the Bombay place.
In no particular order (though most have been mentioned) I like: Brothers Pizza Romano's Luigi's Fuzzy's Pink's Candelari's Grimaldis Dolce Vita Ponzo's Delivery - Papa Johns
No love for new york pizzeria?? I think it's solid. Likewise piola in midtown has some good ones. Gatti's was the bomb but isn't in htown anymore :-(
i know Starr Pizza gets a lot of love but i don't know why. i've been there three times and each time the crust was soggy. maybe because it was deep dish and not thin crust. regardless, there's no excuse for soggy pizza. i recently had pizza at BJ's brewhouse. it made a good impression. definitely better than star.
Romano's Fuzzy's & Star are my favorites. I like Pink's sometimes, but I have to be in the mood for it.
I tend to go to Brother's since there is one 5 minutes away, but went to Candelari's in Cypress yesterday after my daughter's AAU touranment and had their Wrigley's special. Not usually a fan of deep dish but man that was a great pizza. Their Euro style Margherita also looked good...
Agreed. We're definitely lacking in the pizza department. Here are the places I do like... Fuzzy's Star Pink's Capone's Has anyone had the pizza food truck's pizza? Also, Late Night Pie sucks
