He's giving you the real truth and truth hurts sometimes.

The problem in this thread is not the Rockets fans, it's the TOFs. It's the
TOFs that wanted to shove down our throats a lie that the team was so much better with him, the lie that he was the main reason for a team winning streak under a hall of fame coach.

Even Yao said it himself in the new interview yesterday, "There is no IF"
yet people act like this guy was Michael Jordan or Hakeem Olajuwon or even Kobe Bryant. The dude never lead any of his teams to anything,
it's easy, look at the history books, websites, any NBA fan.
Was he a great talent? yeah, nobody denies this.

And it's an honor to be mentioned with Zboy, a true Rocket fan who loves the Rockets first. I didn't start this, Zboy didn't either, but we'll continue to voice the truth.

Uh... the team WAS a lot better with McGrady, and he WAS the biggest reason for that 22-game streak. He wasn't the only reason, or even the majority of the cause, but he was the single-biggest reason out of any of the individuals involved with that run. He was the best player on that team... there's really not much more to it. It's not rocket science (no pun intended).

And no one still posting on this board and still supporting this team is a TOF, so stop playing that BS card. You're so salty. You really should get your blood pressure checked. (Double meaning there.)

You are missing the point. Zboy is telling the truth of what really happened.
The Rockets won a playoff series, the first since Barkley was on the team with Yao Ming and NO Tracy. The playoffs are MUCH HARDER than the regular season. Therefore they were better.

Let me show you what Tracy did during that season, he was playing this game where you have burn the bridges to win. see below:

What he means is he misses the days when he could actually score.

LOL Tinman the only true TOF here is you. I mean, take a look at Tmac's comment, its 2 sentences about him watching tv, seeing Yao and missing playing with him. That's it.

However look at your long-ass post about Tmac. Its like everything Tmac does results in a 10,000 word total post count from you, from ranting about how tmac sucks, to arguing with the fans who actually remember rooting for the guy. It doesn't even matter if the thread is positive, somebody could make a thread about tmac saving the universe from the reapers and you'd still rant about him not getting out of the first round lol.

You hardly ever post in the current rockets team, all you really do is post those articles talking about the glory years and Tmac. With the glory years being over 2 decades old all you really have to cling on is Tmac. Even your username now seems like an allusion to tmac. You're like the Joker needing Batman to exist lmao.

That loss against the Jazz was more on Yao than it was on T-Mac. Boozer and Okur thoroughly outplayed him and the Rockets couldn't grab a freaking rebound mainly because Yao couldn't box those guys out.

Random side note about McGrady, but JVG is speaking up for him right now on ESPN, pointing out that McGrady always raised his game in the playoffs, and carried his teams, and that when he lost in the playoffs, it was always to the favored team.

Whether you love or hate T-Mac, you gotta love how JVG always praises the Rockets, past and present.

    Those two really got along.

Too bad it never worked out (success in post-season wise).

When did you ever get any comprehension?

McGrady's scoring average typically WENT UP in the playoffs. He brought his A game to the playoffs. It's not exactly his fault his squads lost to FAVORED TEAMS.

T-Mac was simply on star-crossed teams. Remember at the end of 2007, the Yao/T-Mac Rockets were keeping neck and neck with the resurgent Lakers, even passing them briefly for the number one seed. Then Yao was suddenly announced out for the remainder of the season!

Yet, T-Mac was the leader on that historic 22 game win streak, some of those games without Yao already. NO ONE can take that storied run away from him.

Jordan never had a 22 win streak. Hakeem never had a 22 win streak. Kobe never had a 22 win streak. But T-Mac has accomplished a 22 win streak.

T-Mac was virtually the LONE force that kept the Rockets reasonably competitive against the favored Jazz in the 2007 playoffs. I forever admire his gutsy performance in that series...without Yao...without the point guard Alston who was a big factor for the Rockets excellent record that year.

To paraphrase Yao, yeah, there are no "ifs." But remember he said they also did their "best."

Does Kobe ever win titles WITHOUT Shaq? Without the likes of Pau Gasol/Lamar Odom?
