Just curious if people were getting raises this year? Seems like the economy is doing better. Companies are reporting better numbers. Are they passing that down to their employees who they are getting much more production from than past years?
If so, what percentage did you get?

I got a 4% raise. Enough to keep up with inflation, etc, so I'm happy enough.

Nope. I'm still at '10 cutback scale.

But bonuses here and there throughout the years have easily made up for the cutback, lack of raises and EOY bonuses.

I was never getting a raise at my old job. My pay had been frozen for years.

Thankfully they let me go and so I'm working elsewhere, and the pay's better.

I got a raise like I do every year, but this year they gave it as a bonus instead of a raise. Apparently it's taxed at a higher rate than your normal pay? That's lame.

Guess I can't really complain though, since most of the people I started with here almost 10 years ago didn't survive the bailout.

Bonuses aren't taxed any differently than regular salary. Firms may withhold differently, but the actual income and FICA taxes would be the same.

Not only a raise but a decent 5 figure bonus that should fund my outdoor kitchen.

My raise was almost 5%. Actual total compensation increase will depend on bonuses.

they give a standard 4% raise to everyone here every year (except last year due to several different non-financial reasons). I also got an extra 1-2% on top of the 4% because I took over a show on our network that someone else prior had been producing.

After working at one of those jobs where when you tell people what you do they go "Oh... yeah... the economy's tough right now..." I got a new, real job, pay increased 250%.

Couple months at that job, got a raise of 6.4%.

5% after taking on more responsibility and work...a year after taking a slight decrease. I'm still a little pissed about it.

I went from making less than **** to making ****, then my boss decided to give all his worthless buddies jobs and pay them more than me, so I quit and told him to **** himself the day my wife landed a sweet new job. Right in the middle of our busiest day too.

Now I'm staying at home with a 3 month old. Let me tell you, thats still work. The little ****er doesn't take much for naps.
