This is absolutely amazing. I have always enjoyed lurking opponents bbs(and trolling on Jazz boards). It gives my the chance to see their pathetic homer trades. PS. don't be a troll...unless it's utah
Geat link Darrin, Thanks. Grizzlie fans talk about upcoming game with Rockets: http://216.37.76.73/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=004716
It's actually sad that this link is going to die. You don't have to respond to use it. I wish we had something like this(never mind.......too many cc.net fans would then become trolls)
I'm bothered by the fact that the cc.net BBS and the ESPN message board for the Rockets got the same rating.
wow great link...very cool. but...how the hell does espn rate as well as Cc.net? not that u would know...
whick BBS is better, other than cc.net? We can move to the 2nd best BBS when cc.net is shutdown by Yao Ming.
Sorry if this has been posted, but check this out (from the ESPN Rockets Board): http://boards.go.com/cgi/espn/request.dll?MESSAGE&room=nba_hou&id=89257 It was an interview on Jim Rome and Rome asked West what he thought of Yao and would he try to trade up to get him, West said, "I have offered the number 4 pick(Drew Gooden) Stromile Swift, Pau Gasol, Lorenzen Wright, Michael Dickerson and Jayson Williams, in exchange for their players who are running up the cap and need to be dumped like Glen Rice, Mo Taylor, etc. in exchange for the number one pick to get Yao. Houston declined." Then Rome asked West if he were still with the Lakers would he try to get Yao? West said, "yes." Then Rome asked how would he have gone about getting that number one pick when all the Lakers really had to offer was Shaq and Kobe, or Horry, who lives in Houston, but since they have a log jam they would not want Horry, meaning Kobe or Shaq would be the only ones to trade for Ming. West replied, "I would do what I had to get Yao." So he never actually said he offered to trade Kobe or would trade Kobe, he simply said he would do what he had to to get Yao, if he was still with the Lakers he could have done so, but not with Memphis. To me Rome saying it could only be Shaq or Kobe, West saying he would do what he had to, either he meant exchanging big men, which is unlikey, or he meant Kobe saying bye.
Holy cow. That's a hell of a trade package CD turned down. Props to him for not succumbing to temptation.
When was this interview? I listen to Rome's show regularly and rarely miss his interviews. I remember hearing him interviewing West not too long ago and I definately dont remember this part of this conversation. I find it very hard to believe that a man of West's integrity would come right out and name names that he had offered to trade. Im guessing that poster made this up for the sake of conversation. Can anyone else coroborate this?
Important forum that they neglected to mention: Mean Green Forum Some of the talk here is pretty informed, most of it isn't. Still, this reaction to last night's game was a riot to read: thread
