There was a report back in a while, that Nets would trade Deron if Howard won't join them this summer. Now "Superman to Brooklyn" is not going to happen, so there would be some calls in Billy King's office What would you offer for Deron's expiring contract? Remember, that Rockets pushed hard on acquiring Deron last TDL, but Jazz FO didn't want to trade him to the WCF team

I think that Lowry + Martin + Morris for Deron and DeShawn will be a done deal for the Nets, but is it too much for the Rockets because of Williams' contract? We will still be pretty competitive this season, we really could have some cap space and maybe he will not only stay there but attract some free agents to come here, too

I'd give them anything, nonee of our guys are that expendable, and we have enough depth to cover most positions (except Center, but I doubt the Nets want Dalembart as compensation for DWill). If we trade Martin, we have Lee. If we trade Scola, we have Patterson. And vice-versa. Obviously, if we bring in DWill we can give up Lowry. Parsons is good, but replacable. Once we have D-Will, we have an inherent advantage of re-signing him, and attracting other players to houston. Maybe we can't pair him with Dirk, but I think Morey can convince D-Will to buy into his strategy, given our sucess with finding role players. We wait a year with D-will, and sign Howard. Or, williams bolts. We tank hard and rebuilt that way.
