Bucs just traded Bogut to Golden State for Ellis, Udoh, Kwame.

I wanted Bogut, but at least this helps our draft pick.

They essentially traded two players who are not playing for players who can give them immediate minutes.

Jennings Ellis backcourt is nasty. It solves some of their scoring issues. I say this helps our chances of keeping NY out of the playoffs!

At first I was mad because we never make a deal. I feel very much consoled in that MIL now becomes stronger.

Having #9 and # 12 (if we end up struggling the rest of the year) we add 2 strong trade assets.

Well I'm not even talking about the 5th pick in the draft. I'm talking about simply moving up in the draft see there.

If the Rockets have the 13th and 14th pick I don't think it's far fetched for them to move up to 10...and sometimes that can make all the difference in the world to getting a player you want.

How would the Rockets have the 13th and 14th pick?

By missing the playoffs and the Knicks missing the playoffs. They would then have two lottery picks wherever they will fall.

If the Knicks miss the playoffs, its looking like a top 10 pick. :)

Haha well I'll take that as well then. Was just thinking safe. Hopefully this trade will give the Bucks that push. Makes them better definitely I think since they were not getting anything from Bogut and Udoh is actually a promising young player who will go there and help out.

If we get an NYC lottery pick in a deep draft I wonder what all the DM haters will say.

"Oh we're still mired in mediocrity with no Howard, Durant or Rose wah! wah! wah!"

Although we didn't get Melo last season, now he is helping us in another way. Gogogo Melo! Keep missing shots and lead the Knicks into lottery world!

The trade is one of the better news of the season for the Rockets, and this fact should not pass unnoticed. A pick #9 or #10 can be moved into the top-7 with the help of a rotation player and suddenly a player like Lamb, Beal, even Barnes can be reachable for the Rockets. Now is not science fiction but something very possible, because with Monta Ellis in exchange for nothing, and a better calendar until the end, you should consider the Bucks favourites to get that last playoff spot.

D'Antoni out!!!!! this could not get better for the Rockets! Never has an interm couch come in and turned a team around with 20 games to go. Picking 8-10 range

This has to be good news for us. Do not see them making the playoffs now. Let's get some luck for once.

I wonder what kind of offense will Mike Woodson implement. Jeremy played really well under D'Antoni, now I'm not so sure. New system with short practice time might mean disastrous for the Knicks and wonderful for us.

Yup, it's looking like the pick is looking better and better. Though the Knicks with Stoudomire, Anthony, and Lin are still a formidable team. With a new coach, they might get reinvigorated... It's now a wait and see type of situation.

But with Milwakee getting better, it bodes well for the Rockets chances that the pick be a top 10 pick :)
