And if you want a sense for Ellis’ market value right now, and probably leading into the March 15 trade deadline, it’s fitting to look back to last June. That’s when the GSW front office had talks with Minnesota (among a handful 0f other teams), centered around Ellis. According to multiple league sources, the two teams had a loose outline of a proposal–neither team had agreed to anything, but this was the basic heart of the talks: * Minnesota was willing to talk about a package involving F Michael Beasley and C Nikola Pekovic in return for Ellis. The sources say the Warriors didn’t flat out say no to Minnesota, but wanted more. San Jose Mercury-News I read this earlier, and thought about the Rockets maybe getting in on this potential trade.I was thinking maybe Martin, and Bud for Pekovic, and Webster. What do you think ,or who would you go for.I would rather have him over Gasol.
Does anyone know how big Pekovic is? And is this like a life or death thing or did Martin lose a bet?
...and an unprotected 1st round pick at least, everyone underestimates the value of K-Mart on this board. And I'd rather have Beasly than Webster. I love K-Mart, he would be the perfect complement for a skilled big man like Dwight or a Yao...just saying
I would much rather have the championship winning big man. But if we could Pekovic + other for Martin/Bud, then I'd be all for it. Pekovic +Webster or Beasley = yes.
