or this.... just trying a few moves.

    Lowry/Dragic (resign)
Gordon(sign as FA)/Beal or Lamb (NY pick)
    Thompson/Morris
    Williams/Dmo/Scola(move during offseason)
    Dally/Leonard(draft with our pick)

Gordon might fetch slightly over what Kmart is making, with the 09 expiring and trading scola you would have money for a supermax guy .

    Three way trade:

Rockets: Marshon Brooks and Hedo Turkoglu

    Nets: Dwight Howard

Magic: Kevin Martin, Brook Lopez, Memo Okur, Nets 2012 draft pick.

What do you think? We get a rookie who can score almost as well as Martin. Brooks has looked very nice. We would have to absorb Hedo's contract, I think it's worth it in the long run. Build around Lowry, Brooks, Patterson, NYK pick and hopefully Morris.

Also, this trade couldn't have been a better median for the Nets and Magic. Magic are looking to shed salary as well as take in talent, while the Nets would have to put in a few players to make the numbers work.

Rockets get - Pau, Casspi, Cavs 1st rounder
Cavs get - Martin, Morris, Ebanks, Lakers 2nd Rounder
Lakers get - Scola, Sessions, Hill, Flynn

    Just an idea.

    Random Trade Idea

I see people have suggested that Kevin Martin is good when he is scoring but detrimental if not being that he does nothing else well. Why don't we replace him with another temporary scorer such as Michael Beasley who I'm sure Minnesota would compensate us for taking him off their hands to replace with someone that thrives under Adelman.

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=835ypld

Ask for a future 1st round pick with conditions
    Dalembert/Hill/Thabeet
    Scola/Patterson
    Beasley/Parsons/Morris
    C.Lee/Budinger/Williams/Ellington
    Lowry/Dragic/Flynn/M. Lee

Then flip Scola, Flynn or Thabeet or Williams, the Minnesota pick and maybe some others for Monta Ellis and Jenkins or whatever other small contract(s). Warriors will get expirings, a good power forward in Scola to team up with David Lee, and a backup point guard in Flynn to play behind someone he was drafted ahead of in 2009.

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7tgq9yk

    Dalembert/Thabeet
    Patterson/Hill
    Beasley/Parsons/Morris
    Ellis/C.Lee/Budinger/Williams/Ellington
    Lowry/Dragic/M. Lee/Jenkins

We can make other minor trades here and there to stregthen the front court, bring Donatas over next season, draft best available player(s)(Perry Jones, Meyers Leonard) in 2012 draft, pick up a star in FA(superstar is not coming to Houston via Free Agency) then we should be able to contenders in 2014.

    Thoughts?

    Timberwolves get: Kevin Martin

Lakers get: Luis Scola, Michael Beasley & Luke Ridnour

Rockets get: Pau Gasol & Matt Barnes

Timberwolves get Martin that really fits their system
Lakers get a good power forward, a scoring small forward and a needed point
Rockets get Pau, who they want and a defensive minded tough small forward/gaurd

    Any thoiughts?

I don't really know if I want Pau Gasol on the team. He's worth twice what Scola's making, and I'd rather the PT goes to PP and Donuts (next year).

If I was Morey I'd probably do the following trades:

*PP, MM and Lee for Paul George. George is easily worth those guys IMHO, esp. with his all around play and superstar potential. Indiana is still seeing Granger as their main man, and giving them

*Thabeet and NY Pick for Gortat. Honestly I'm tired of stressing over the NY pick, let some other team worry about it. Gortat is like the big man version of Courtney Lee, really solid big man with very few holes in his game. A front line of Gortat and a locked-in Dalembert is tall, athletic, and is comparable to our "dream lineup" of Gasol and Nene at half the price. When Dalembert starts playing poorly, have him come of the bench and we roll with Gortat and Scola.

*Dragic for Dallas pick. The Lakers need a pg to put them over the top and Dragic is one of the best non-starting pgs in the league. Win for both teams.

    Here's the 2012 lineup:

    Dalembert/Gortat/Scola
    Gortat/Scola/Hill
    George/Parsons
    Kmart/C-bud
    Lowry/Twill

^Doesn't have a single superstar but it looks the Denver roster on steroids. I think that lineup's championship contender.

    Too much for Paul George.

    Just right for Gortat.

    Can get more for Gortat.

This trade is just a front for your well known and ever-present agenda to have an all Smith second unit.

No way New York accepts that garbage! Try being realistic.

Yeah I doubt the Lakers give away Pau Gasol for essentially Scola and Dragic. Scola's playing like crap right now, and Gasol has been proven to get them 2 rings already.

As for us, I'm a bit leery tying up 21M for the next 3 years for Gasol, that dude's old AND he already said he doesn't want to play in Houston.

I dunno man, I'm a really big fan of Paul George and the Pacers are too. He's been playing good d, rebounding at a nice pace and shooting 3s at 45%. I personally think he's the next Tmac, except hopefully with a better attitutde.

Now i know a trade for gasol sounds ****ty but if it leads you to another allstar then its something you haft to think about...

    L.A- P.Gasol & S.Blake + TPE + 2012 First Round Pick
    HOU- K.Lowry, L.Scola & H.Thabeet

If you have that trade done you have the perfect assets to trade for another allstar.
So after that trade you can do a trade for...lets say deron williams

    N.J- D.Williams & A.Morrow
    HOU- K.Martin, G.Dragic, P.Patterson & J.Flynn + TPE + Knicks & L.A's 2012 Picks

    Houston Rockets new team:
    D.Williams-S.Blake
    C.Lee-A.Morrow
    C.Parsons-C.Budinger
P.Gasol-J.Hill-C.Parsons...If M.Morris is ready he can easily fill in here
    S.Dalembert-J.Hill

Thats looks like a improved team to me and its definitely do-able, we would easily have the best offer for D.Will only problem would be if D.Howard doesn't get traded to somewhere else besides N.J before the deadline i don't see N.J parting with williams with the chance of D.Will and D.Howard duo...but lets say D.Howard goes to L.A clips or wherever else then were good.

I like this. This would pull the Nets out of the Howard sweepstakes if they are willing - we sould be too. With Donatas Motiejunas I still think brother Robin is a great fit for less money, but Brook is a better all around player.

In a dream world it would be nice to have BOTH sets of twins. SO after this trade we should

    HOU
in Lopez, Morris, and PHX '12 2nd round pick
out Patterson, Budinger, Dragic, T-Will, and $18,746
    ...for...
    PHX
in Patterson, Budinger, Dragic, T-Will, and $18,746
out Lopez, Morris, and PHX '12 2nd round pick

    2012 - 2013

    Lowry / Farmar
    Martin / Llull
    Morris / Parsons
    Morris / Motiejunas
    B. Lopez / R. Lopez / Smith

    +"Keep in the family"
+Young, Big, and Skilled. (if we can keep the Lopezs signed)
+Can mix and match the front line
+We may/will lose the NYK pick(put off till next year) when Stern "does the lotto" and the protection is removed from ours; so the PHX 2nd will be our first pick then Minny's then ours

    I like it even more
