My son is insisting that I listen to Illmatic from Nas. I'm assuming this is a good rap CD? All I know is Public Enemy, Run DMC, and the Beastie Boys.

I'll second that. The only rap album that I like better is Eric B & Rakim's debut, "Paid in Full" - a stone cold classic.

    Tom Waits - Bone Machine
    Gong - Acid Motherhood

Win - it's been awhile but I remember you talking about Gong. "Acid Motherhood" doesn't have Steve Hillage but does have founder Daevid Allen - it is mind-blowingly good. Pick it up and you won't regret it (don't be put off by the cheesy album cover - it is really good album).
