No kidding. The only top 3 pick that won a championship with his original team in the past 20 years was Duncan. Well, there is Kidd, but he bounced around on two other teams before coming back to the Mavs.

I think with the infusion of more defense, this team will be much better than currently advertised.

You will have to check that fact because I don't recall Zach randolph in the all star game with the blazers , he was very raw and young then.

Arthur is out for the season.....

Do you still think we should trade for Millsap to play the center position? lol.....Seems to me you don't really understand how to read statistics.

Oh, I know! Lets trade Luis Scola for Jamison and picks. The Cavs would be all over that trade!

I don't think Morey would trade Scola for ZBo. He is better but like Scola he does not play defense. He is a better scorer and rebounder though but he is paid like a superstar. Scola has a great salary and although not as good as ZBo, still very good.

Gasol's attraction has as much to do with his age and his potential as it does with his actual performance. I would prefer Gasol to Dalembert as well but don't pretend like Dalembert brings nothing to the table. Daly is a superior rebounder and shot blocker than Gasol at this stage of their careers and its really not close.

And I don't think there is any question that the Rockets have more athletisism than the Grizz. I'm not just talking starting line-up either.

Well we have KevinMcHale, they have Hollins
We have Morey, they have Wallace

The grizzlies win one freakin series and people act like they're the next big thing.

It was a fluke series win, just like GS over Dallas.

They won 46 games and are still the same mediocre Grizzlies.

    1.Thunder
    2.Mavericks
    3.Lakers
4.Spurs (very old but will still win games)
    5.Clippers

Portland,Denver,Houston, and Memphis are all equally average to me.

Rockets are just as good with Dalembert, could get as high as 6, maybe even 5 depending on just how old the spurs look. We could miss the playoffs altogether though. Lot of Mediocrity this year.

And what stage might that be? Dalembert had a hard time finding a job. This guy is scraps... I would take Jermaine ONeal over this guy.

clubber, Im not disagreeing with anything you said. I just think some of these fanatics need to temper expectations. I dont even think Morey expects us to get deep, let alone INTO, the playoffs at this point. The Dalembert move was a move that came out of necessity, not one to catapult us to the finals.

If he was Chinese he would have been top vote getter.

The point Im making is that 20/10 with regularity qualifies as elite.

I don't think you can count Arthur, didn't he just wreck his knee? I'm sure they like their bench but after trading away Lowry to us for a bag of peanuts I'm not sure I trust their evaluation process. Either way I don't think I would trade PPat, Lee (or TWill or Morris at this point) and Dragic for Arthur, Young and Allen.

Edit: Yep just checked Arthur tore his ACL its on Yahoo

I admit Zach is a pretty good player however he is still Allstar reserve.

    He is not better than
KG in prime, Amare, Dirk , Duncan prime

I wouldn't want him on the Rockets as much as I would not want Pau on there, because they don't fit very well.

We need high octane energy, playing high level D, above 6'10 centers or PFs that are winners, don't whine all the time, getting it done, deserving their contracts

You stated that he was an "all star " with the blazers so I assumed he was voted to the all star team. Scola has been getting similar numbers even better than the stats of Zebo in Portland. He didn't get that until later in his career when he was the focal point of the offense.
He was not considered an all star until his stint with the Grizzlies. Their playoff success made him look good but he had good complementary players, malik allen, Gasol, on the defensive end. and that made him elite (playoff success) .

He could've gotten 20/10 on the knicks but everyone considered him dispensable on that team. He was likewise considered dispensable by the Blazers. Only recently did he find the right team that really brought the best of him.

Dalembert plays 80 to 82 games a year and averages 24+ minutes a game and he IS a superior rebounder and shot blocker to Gasol.

"At this stage of their careers" is meant to imply that Gasol could get better than he currently is, of course there is no garuntee that will happen.

BTW, if you took Jermain O'Neal over Dalembert then you would be making yourself out to be a fool.
