This is way more important than basketball.

Get well Chuck, for the good of you and your family...don't worry about a game, just worry about your health.

It would be very odd for him to have MR or AI at this age given that he most likely didn't have rheumatic fever as a child and is a healthy guy. He could have an ASD or VSD congenitally but again this would have most likely been picked up on prior exams/physicals.

Most concerning in african american males is HCM by far. Aside from looking for abnormal flow (which would have been most likely picked up on prior physical exams with the detection of a murmur), stress echo looks at wall motion abnormalities due to ischemic processes among other things. If I had to guess chuck may have had some episodes of chest pain, dizziness, and possibly fainting which was a cause for alarm, thus him getting the stress echo. If it is indeed HCM, they will recommend he end his career which would be so freaking sad. Really really hoping this is just precautionary and I'm completely wrong.

Only Houston team doctors can miss serious health issues every year. Chuck is lucky to have been diagnosed by Sactown.

But if he had re-signed with Houston would he have had this physical?

Sort of sounds like the NFL player who was traded and discovered he had a brain tumor.

I hate to jump on the bandwagon when it comes to this topic, but it does make you wonder.....you would think teams would have yearly physicals, like the ones players take after being traded? Maybe they do and this developed recently? Hmm...

I hope he's ok, but he's gotta be glad he signed a good deal already. I can't imagine having to deal with a heart issue just before getting paid what is long overdue.

Well Chuck, maybe it's meant for you to be in Houston after all. You got the money and if your NBA career is over, welcome back even if you aren't playing for the Rockets.

    First, hopefully he is okay.
Second, I hope he can continue to play if he wants to.
Third, I hope he doesn't lose out on his $21 million.

just want to know, if Chuck Hayes fails his physical does that mean the trade to Sacramento will be off and he will have to go back to Houston or will they still keep him?
