i was thinking about this when the yates thread was created. People want to think that the brady on that 2001 team was the same brady that nailed bridget and gisselle. Anybody that watched football that year remembers that it was all about TEAM. It was kevin faulk finding space and escaping defenders on a circle screen for 13 yards on a first and 10. It was Troy freaking Brown making defensive plays when he lined up as a cornerback. It was a crew of assistants going above and beyond to film other team's practices. =) How do you stop rodgers though? four 13 minute drives and an onside kick?
Now you guys are comparing Yates to Brady? You guys are delusional. The Texans may even win a Superbowl but Yates is no Brady.
I'm not drinking the Yates = Brady kool aid but who was Brady before taking over for Bledsoe in 2001? It's not like Brady was pre ordained to be the HOF QB that he is today when he was drafted. In fact, the Patriots were deciding between drafting him or Tim Rattay in the 2000 draft.
Yates is way better than Brady. Brady is a system QB made to look better than he is by Belichick's witchcraft and camera trickery. Patriots without Brady = 11-5 Colts without Manning = 0-16 Not only is TJ Yates a better QB than Tom Brady but he is also a better poet than William Butler Yeats.
