@WojYahooNBA: Lakers and Hornets won't pursue a direct deal for Chris Paul either, source says. "L.A. can't give them what they need," source says.

How is Gasol not one of the best or an elite difference maker when prior to Gasol the Kobe led Lakers (post shaq)couldn't get past the Suns or the Spurs or even the Mavs and Jazz? They were not even an elite team. He basically transformed a crappy team into one that seemed unbeatable.

Good job Stern, way to waste everyone's time. You keep pushing and pushing, eventually something will give.

Rockets have to rebuild now, Martin is a mess and while Scola has been great about this issue, he can't be very happy either. Howard and Paul aren't coming here and Williams is a LONGSHOT at best...no stars left.

    Good news.

Now let's trade K-Mart to the Wolves and call it a day. That bridge looks irreparable at this point...

didn't really like the original deal, but I was willing to live with the results. The supposed new deal was just terrible. We were going to guy our entire roster just to make LA/NO happy. Just not worth it IMO. I would have gladly taken the original trade. SCREW YOU STERN!

Just did the math. Odom TPE big enough to absorb Turkoglu. Magic must not want Odom. Deal for Howard in place? :(

@WojYahooNBA: Source confirms http://t.co/x9CS5JqJ report that Lakers will instead trade Lamar Odom into Dallas trade exception.

Seriously, who cares we aren't going anywhere with Kevin Martin anyway. Without him, mentally or physically, we are still in the same state of limbo.

And who comes out on top at the end of the day? Mark Cubans and the ****ing Mavs because they get Lamar Odom for practically nothing. **** the NBA.

If anyone thinks the Rockets are in better shape now that the trade didn't go through, please stop for a couple of minutes and think about it again.
