if it's just Scola and Martin, then I don't think anyone would have a problem with it. The problem is they want more picks and more youth - I'm not saying our players are the greatest, but compared to some of the other garbage floating out there, our young players are pretty good.

Lowry ain't going anywhere. We are trying to build around a core of Lowry/Nene/Gasol Morey pursued Bosh last year to play alongside a healthy Yao. The goal was to have two twin towers, one who could play in the low post and one at the high post at a God-like efficient rate. Maybe that's what he sees in a Nene/Gasol frontcourt? Nene being our Yao in the low post and Gasol being our Bosh 2.0 in the high post? BTW, Gasol is miles better than Bosh, both offensive and defensive end.
Forget them. This is LAs deal to get Chris Paul mostly. Gasol is ok but he is not worth youth from us plus what we gave up too. Kill the deal and let that team give LA Paul for nothing in the offseason. Sue the league. End of.

At the end of the day, this is the deal that we've been building towards. You all read how a Rockets executive said that the deal being vetoed set us back three years. Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with the direction the team's taking with this tade, looking at it from Morey's perpective, you don't let a chance slip away over replaceable spare parts.

Agreed. I've been pushing for a tear down for two+ years, and this is the perfect draft to do it, but I don't own the team. This is the suck part of being a fan, you have absolutely no control over anything. This trade is like Mike Tyson in 1989. You see the spectacle from a distance, and you know it's going to end ugly, and all you can think about is how you'll never forget what you just saw.

There is a plan in place, just not everyone here can see it.
