Stern's legacy is being built out of mud. The man is rich beyond comprehension for any commoner, and he has developed a very successful sports league. It is his legacy (unless you think he will live for another 50 years) that he must be concerned about or at least he should.

Can someone answer this? All I've seen stated was "basketball reasons". Wtf does that mean. Is there a link some where?

Talk about your teflon Don... the NBA continues to lose credibility as a professional sports league.

They should start treating the All-Star game like Wrestlemania.

Since it appears clear that Stern was acting as team owner. What he did was equivalent to Les Alexander nixing a trade at the last minute which Morey worked on for months and citing vague basketball reasons to justify it. How outrageous would that be.

The conflict of interest position is not with the NBA itself because as regulator their duty is to remain impartial. The conflict of interest is with the other team owners who have an interest in their team succeeding and wanting the other teams including the Hornets to fail. Stern stated clearly he was acting as team owner a.k.a. as agent of the other NBA team owners when he nixed the trade. He had to use basketball reasons so that he limited it for this trade only because if he was acting as regulator he would have to nix every other "questionable" trades that come to fruition.

What stern did was popular to the other team owners , but it was not the right thing to do. the decent thing to do is to respect the autonomy of the hornets and ensure the level playing field. that just shows the character of david stern that he would do what is popular instead of what is right.

From the terribleness that is David Stern, I've come to the conclusion that he is the devil and should be investigated for his role in all the tragic events of the last half century:

    Kennedy assasination
    9/11
    anthrax scare
aiding & abeding Bin Laden for 10 years
    Princess Di's accident
    housing bubble & recession
    Sandusky
    AIDS
    Justin Beiber
    Haiti earthquake
    Japan tsunami
    skinny jeans

    ect

    HE SUCKSSS!!

Mubarak was ousted in Egypt. Ghadafi was ousted in Libya. Assad was on his way out. When is stern ousted?

If Stern wants to be the General Manager of the Hornets then he should resign as NBA Commissioner. Then he can be appointed as full time GM and his basketball knowledge in building a team can truly be tested.

    Would Castro step down???

    Step down? Brother please!!!

I read a blog that described Stern like a dictator and it made great points. The man is going NOWHERE as long as he's alive and making money for people!

This was my favorite one-liner: "Whatever Stern’s “basketball reasons” were for voiding the trade, they clearly had nothing to do with playing a game of basketball."
