Have you all heard about a trade involving Damon Stoudemire and Latrell Sprewell. I've heard some rumors, and just wondering if this has been discussed at all.

The Knicks aren't THAT desperate to get rid of Spreewell. The only way New York would do a trade like that would be to clear cap room, but Spree and Stoudamire both make the same money and have the same length left on their contracts. Why would New York want a mediocre point guard when they already have TWO mediocre point guards?

Scott Layden would cement his title as worst GM in the NBA if he did that trade.

I thought you said 'big trade'. Now, a 'big trade' would be for the Knicks to glitz their '1' and add a superstar '3'. Like, Moochie and GR for Spree.

A BIG trade would be a three way involving Shaq, Shawn Bradley, and Yao Ming...

Nov. 16: Derek Anderson returned Friday night, after missing several games with a concussion. His return was great news for the Blazers, who beat the Clippers, but it was bad news for Damon Stoudamire, who got benched. Anderson started at the one, and Jeff McInnis spelled him, leaving Damon on the outside looking in.

Views: The Blazers have been trying to trade Damon, and it looks like they need to step up negotiations (read: drop their asking price). Trouble is, he makes too much money. Anderson is a solid pickup, as he has played well in past experiments at the one.

Portland wants to get rid of Damon.

That would'nt be a bad trade for the Knicks. They get rid of Spreewell who's about 32 and they get a still young pg with the ability to average 20 a game.

I think Damon was also one of the top assist/turnover ratio PG
