Lakers in the Lebron-Athon?

    If Lakers continued their crappy pace (which they wont...probably anyways)...and got Lebron James...that would be simply insane.

    Tank one season to win sevarl more championships later?

    That's kind of an intriguing ethical question. I don't know if any team would do it, though San Antonio did a good job during the duncan year (First-Worst-First again!)

    If Shaq sits out the season, then youve got a point. If not, then you are way off.

    Interesting point. If Shaq is very slow in recovering, then this seems to be in the best interests of the Lakers. But if Shaq returns soon, I don't see how the Lakers could lose with Shaq in the lineup, and Kobe playing alongside him.

    Plus I think Cleveland, Memphis, Denver and NY will be the real contenders for James.

    Yeah, then Mr. Stern would have a big decision to make...Give Lebron to New York who could definitely use him, or give them to the already-awesome team in LA and make them the greatest show on Earth.
