I know this may constitute thread-jacking, but can kevC or anyone else please help me with the name-changing process? Do I have to talk to an attorney to do it or can I just do it? what are the steps? how much would it cost me (with & without attorney).. TIA
lol no. I'm simply correcting my mistransliterated last name. it's kinda like the "Hakeem/Akeem" issue.
hey Kofang, like someone else already said, go to the one in Rosenberg-- no funky smells either. I think be there before 9 am.
Nope. More of a Korean situation. Not sure if I can help you. Name changing process is really easy (and free) if you're going through a citizenship. You just fill out all the forms with your new name. Sorry
I was just kidding. I do have a genuine question for driving though. How long does it take to get a permit+driver's license?
Last time I went there was no line at the DPS off i-10 and beltway. I went in the evening around closing time and there was like one person ahead of me.
Don't remember it was 8 years ago. I took a summer school driver's ed at Katy HS and they took care of everything.
3 hours, and 64 miles round trip to the rosenberg DPS. i left my house just after 6, arrived at the dps about 10 minutes before 7 and was 4th in line. around 7:50 a lady came out and gave the now 30 of us in line the proper paperwork. they promptly opened at 8, and at 8:15 i was walking out with renewed license in hand. another 45 minute drive in relatively light traffic back to the house. that got me to wondering if i had just gone to the DPS 5 miles from my house what the line would have been like at 6:45am
