http://nba-point-forward.si.com/2011/08/05/top-100-nba-players-pt-v-nos-51-60/ They haven't done the top 50 yet, so Martin should be coming up.
They put Brooks as "just missing the cut." How they could mention him after last season and not mention the Chuckwagon is a travesty. Hell, he should make the damn list.
Agree Chuck should have gotten a nod. Description of Scola was very complimentary and spot on. We’re lucky that he’s on the same tier as PF’s like Jefferson, David Lee, and Boozer but gets paid much less. I liked that he acknowledged Lowry’s defensive impact on a team without much defensive talent -- I know some folks here consider it a “little thing” when factoring in his role on the team. Lowry’s also ranked considerably above Conley (91), for some of the same fans who think they’re pretty much the same. (Oh, and others who thought being Conley's "career backup" meant Lowry was a worse player).
when I think of top 50 players today, I also think of 7.9 ppg and 8.1 rpg. He better be top 20 or this list is a joke.
If you check out the link and look at the right, you can see Zach Lowe's tweets and responses. In one of them he mentions Hayes. "All fair. I considered Hayes, b/c I love his game. Spots 80-120 are just super-fluid, very subjective." He also shares some other words about Lowry "As a HOU fan, you'll enjoy where Lowry ended up, though he was a very tough guy to figure." and "To me, the question is, can he sustain the 3-point shooting? If he can--and he can control shot selection--he'll be great."
John Wall at 72 is nuts. Danilo Gallinari at 80 seems low to me, I think he'll wind up being good Tony Allen and Mike Connelly shouldn't have made the list. Brandon Roy should be a little higher, he's got a lot of talent still if he stays healthy. The Blazers are just as injury ridden as us. Anyway those were my thoughts
