Sad day for the nba. But in a way, it's good news if you're a rockets fan because you can finally move on in a different direction. with this sad news though, it's pretty imminent that the rockets will lose all of their china consumers.

i think it's about damn time we change our uniforms and put HOUSTON back on our uniforms and appeal to the fans we have domestically. it's time to stop appeasing for the chinese fans for once.

This could have gone in any number of uniform threads...

... BUT, I think you're right. If ever there was an event that would spur the organization to push for uniform change, hopefully this is it. We'll see what happens with the Chinese corporate sponsorship. I suspect we'll always have some Chinese fans because of Yao...

but on the whole, the Chinese seem to be fans of the sport and other teams/players as much as anything, and I don't think the iconic symbol the team was going for ultimately worked (as evidenced by fan displeasure).

Please Rockets staff, make a change.

We do need a uniform change, but I don't get your logic.

The Rockets kept that uniform to appease the Chinese? I don't see the connection. Chinese are vampires?

Something a little more classic would be nice. I like the red and yellow throwbacks they had a couple years back... you know, the Rudy Tees.

 They changed once. He came in wearing the pinstripes (for one season) and only wore the current uni (aside from the throwbacks and alternate) the rest of his career.

    Am I missing something?

When I see the Rocket uniforms, i think "crap" and "bland", not "Chinese".
    Where is the connection?

I think the jerseys are fine. I never understood the whole Chinese thing. It looked more twilight than chinese to me.

If they wanted to accommodate china with uniforms, they should have never changed from the glorious red and yellow colors.
Lex just wanted us to buy new jerseys.

I think changing back to the old uniform would give us fans something to talk about while morey can almost get our franchise player.
