We aren't doing anything for the next 3 - 5 years. This collect of similiar assets is very disappointing. We might as well draft big men and actually try to develop one or get Andre Jordan on the cheap.

Morey did well with what we had, we ended up with 2 guys who were in the lottery range, a lottery pick from last year with a bunch of potential, and we lost brad miller?

So he did a good job making the best of the situation, but the point is. Even the Timberwolves have a bunch of talent like we do or young potential talent. But we don't have a proper cohesive product to put out on the court. I agree, we just have so much work to do into making the pieces fit in and its only a start tahhat we have talent and how much longer will we be doing that.

No he's not. Morris is more like Patrick Patterson and Flynn could end up being a 3rd string point guard. We're worse off than we were last year

The next draft is suppose to be one of the strongest in years, and we traded away our 2012 first round picks, both of them.

And what I saw tonight was a bunch of sideways motion, but no true progress.

I disagree. People on this board would take one look at Lebron James' height and proclaim him a "tweener". And that he'd never be a SF in the NBA but will be overmatched by opposing PFs.

    FALSE
Our 2012 pick next year is lotto protected and we still have the Knicks pick.

We drafted a 7 footer and BPA at 14. What else do you want? oh, nothing you're just a Morey Hater who spreads misinformation.

Not to mention the depth of next year's draft is still uncertain. So any lottery-protected pick isn't really affected by the tremendous talent on top.

But obviously Morey is holding on to his potential lottery picks in case one hits the jackpot.

Lol...I agree. People who are doubting Morris hasn't seen him....prob very little to none. He is nothing like Patrick patternson. Patrick is a legit PF and Morris is a NBA 3 that played 4 in college because he was SKILLED enough to do so, but anyone who watched him play last year or years past know he has a lil Paul Pierce in him and being a lil over 6'8 ( paul is a lil over 6'7) Marcus Morris was a good pick

Where are you coming up with this? I can't find any sources about the Rockets trading next year's picks.

Let's not forget who signed Brad Miller to that terrible contract in the first place. It was Morey.

Look I want to give credit to Morey when he makes the right moves but he was the one who signed this guy to such a bad contract and now he is acquiring a PG who couldn't make in Minnesota when we already have two quality PG's on the team while at the same time giving up a 2nd round pick, a later 1st rd pick and next years 1st rd pick.

Hey, I'm okay with Morris but you don't trade all your assets away for an unproven Euro guy that goes 20th in a weak draft. That's NOT smart!

    EXCUSE ME?!?

Seeing as how we bought back the #38 pick, that means...

We traded a late 1st rounder (this year's #23) and a future late 1st rounder (the Memphis #1), plus Miller. In return, we get a 1st rounder this year (#20) and a young PG with an expiring contract.

And Morey's got a good track record when it comes to getting 1st round picks via trade.

We traded zero starters and zero important bench guys. That's far from "all your assets."
