All I Want Is You, Two Hearts Beat As One, Lemon, Until the End of the World, Zooropa, Bad, Running to stand still, Trip through your wires, Stay are ones I love off of the top of my head.
Actually, now that I think about it, bad is my favorite U2 song, just because of it's unconventionality. One is their greatest song and With or Without is their best song. That's about as good as I can do without exploding...
Bad Where the Streets Have No Name Sunday Bloody Sunday One Into the Heart/Out of Control When I look at the World One Tree Hill Talk about a tough question.
I like that song. The video is great too. I remember at the 1992 VMAs when they were performing with Dana Carvey as Garth Algar from Wayne's World. An aside, that 1992 VMA was the best damn VMA ever. Seriously off the hizzy nuse wheezy. I don't know what nuse wheezy means, but I hope cool cats say that from now on.
Whenever a relationship ends (good or bad) you can guarantee that "With or without you" will somehow increase by about 1000% at whatever your favorite radio station happens to be. Of course your Cd player will also break, etc. etc.
Pride (In the name of Love) Multiple political, spiritual, and visual messages... it moves every time I hear it... good peaks and valleys in the musical score... it makes a mini-movie run in my head everytime I hear it.... But then, doesn't just about every U2 song do that to me? Good thread.
I just got "War" yesterday. It sounded pretty good after the first listen, especially "Sunday Bloody Sunday" and "New Year's Day". However, "Two Hearts Beat as One" has got to be my new favorite song by them! I can't get that song out of my head!
Out of lurk mode... Walk On (seems like the culmination of their careers-tears every time!) In God's Country (catchy, but personal) The Fly Dirty Day and.. Pride. of course Any Dalton Brothers fans?
Too hard to pick one. Voted for "New Year's Day", though my actual favorite right now is "Stay (Faraway, So Close)". Also, Gloria (the live version off Under A Blood Red Sky). Other favorites: Mysterious Ways Acrobat In God's Country Where the Streets Have No Name Hawkmoon 269 Numb Like A Song I Threw A Brick Through A Window A Sort of Homecoming That's already more than just a top 10. I don't like their newer stuff quite as much, with the possible exception of "Walk On".
Bad is definitely my favorite U2 song. Any of the live versions (from Wide Awake in America, Rattle and Hum the movie, or Elevation) are just incredible.
wow, am i the only one that loved "sweetest thing" that and "with or without you" are 2 of my top 10 favorite songs of all time maybe i liked "sweetest thing" b/c it brings back some great memories of a few women in my past... but i still gotta vote for it.
