    Don't see how the Lakers can afford Howard when they have over 90 million commited in payroll through 2014 and still have Brown to re-sign.

    People need to stop giving this as$clown hits.

    I was a sports columnist in college and there was a guy at our paper who would write controversial columns just to get hits and he would get thousands of hits even at our ****ty college paper. He offended christians, horse enthusiasts, and women and he got a job at a paper out of college.

    That's ALL Solomon is doing. Inflaming Rockets fans to get hits. By commenting and arguing with him you are just giving him what he wants.

    STOP CLICKING ON HIS COLUMN!!

    too ealier to make a conclusion on whether he is right or not. getting a superstar is not easy as solomon thinks about. all parties (your assets, your trade partner, and player on trading block) have to be on the same page to make it happen. one fact doesn't dictate the whole.

    LOL - as far as being "ahead of the game" when assessing the state of the Rockets, I'm pretty sure from your perspective, everybody looks like the firebreathing genomic clone of Kreskin blood and Nostradamus DNA.

    I think we have an excellent chance at Howard. In fact, I think either he or Paul will be a Rocket by the end of next season (or maybe by the end of next year's off-season).

    Soloman is not a Rockets fan and not a fan of Houston sports. Not in the job discription for a sports writer in Houston but it would be nice for him to write to the fan base once in a while with out seeing just how abbrasive he can be.

    Yes he is, his sickening commercial holding two championship trophies not withstanding. Les bought a championship team and has largely downgraded it ever since. Yes, he tried to buy super stars, but they were the wrong super stars. He tried a "basketball guy" running the team with CD and that didn't work so he got a "business guy." So far, not much luck with him either. I think Howard is a PERFECT fit here and if they don't get him, what you see is what you get, and I am not sure that Les isn't O.K. with things the way they are. I think a decline in attendance is the only thing that would get his attention.
