If Rudy Gay was playing, the Spurs would have gotten swept. As of right now, Griz in 6.

Says more about the state of the big men in the league today than anything.

Can't believe I am saying this, but Memphis is playing championship basketball.

They've look liked one of the better teams in the playoffs, while also laying waste to the best team in the Western Conference.

Playing tremendous defense and hitting clutch shots, with a high octane offense.

Memphis got red hot at the right time.

Hope they make a deep run.

Damn, I may have to reconsider. This is the first game I've watched in the series and Memphis looks legit.

    I do not mind.

I still don't want to count out the Spurs (Thanks Rudy T for your memorable quote) and crazier things have happened.

But the Grizzlies are the better team and SHOULD win. This isn't some matchup thing like the Warriors and the Mavs. The Warriors then were just a bad matchup for the Mavs, they were not the more talented team.

The Grizzlies are the more talented team.

Can anyone tell me why the Grizz didn't have a better record, esp. since they had Gay for most of the season?

They sure don't seem to miss him. The chemistry of their team now seems solid as a rock.

serves the spurs right for tanking that game in order to hurt our playoff chances.

Don't believe that. Gay takes shots away from people that need the shots, Gasol and Z-bo. I don't think they make playoffs if he is healthy... I was bummed when they said he was out for the season.

Because Gay is a chucker. They weren't utilizing Gasol and Z-Bo when he was healthy.
