Chaney lacked the overall know how

Rudy lacked the X's and O's

    JVG lacked the creativity

    Rick had it all

Looks like a lot of people on this board are too young to know who Rudy T was.

Rudy left for health reasons. Hard to be angry at that. I was more pissed when he signed on with the Lakers.

That guy, you know the one who brought us two rings? What was his name? You know, that guy, the "never underestimate the heart of a champion" guy. For the life of me his name just escapes me. That dude, the one that went to Michigan, or was it Minnesota? Oh well, I voted for Kodos...

rudy left. i was sad but not pissed off because it was his decision.

JVG left, i was sad because i really liked him as a coach, but i understood that he wasn't a championship level coach. he got us to the playoffs but the team was ready for greter things with yao and tmac. i understood the need for the change.

adelman leaving makes me sad. i understand the need for the change. adelman wants to win now and the rockets need to plan for the future. again, i understand the need for the change, but im sad because i know there isn't a better coach available. i really enjoyed watching his offense, and he consistently overachieved. so many great moments with him. 22 game win streak, winning a playoff series to name the most important ones.

Only reason I didn't vote Rudy is because he won 2 rings for this city, so it's hard to be upset about anything he wnated to do after that. Rick had it all, except for the championship contending team he was promised

    JVG by far...

I still think he'd be a fantastic coach here.

What?? No Del Harris? All he did was take Moses Malone and the Rockets to the NBA championship and then get canned because the Front Office thought Fitch would be a better teacher for Dream and Ralph.

Damn that Daryl Morey! Damn him! :p

The only thing this poll proves is that Don Cheney and his wife are members of Clutchfans.

Honestly, I wasn't pissed off about any of them getting replaced.

Although I feel Adelman was the most deserving to keep his job.

weren't there rumblings that he was more or less being forced out and his treatment was just a convenient excuse to part ways?

Right. And Adelman left because he and Morey couldn't work together.

So I do remember that somewhat correctly, lol. What was the feeling at the time that Rudy was let go? I was just starting to become a Rockets fan in the late 90's, early 2000's

We'll feel the impact next season. You're not angry now because you haven't tasted the horror of a 15-67 season yet.
