That Battier deal looks x10 worse after his big shot and this. Trade could be the difference between having Gasol instead of Thabeet.

I don't understand. Any other team ready to pay such amount of money for Zach?

I mean I like him a lot, but I think the Grizzlies again did themselves in

I think they would have matched our offer for Marc anyway.

Going over things, Nets and Pacers. Both could use a PF upgrade.

    Sorry, I missed this.

Ok, if the bird rights are really in danger with the new CBA... we'll see, different thing.

I know he has had a very good season, but let me be the first to say:

I think they will regret this.

    Doesn't matter now. He's a grizzlies.

But, to answer your question, yeah there were teams out there that wanted Zach at any price, dollar-wise. NJ, for example, had an interest.

But this contract wasn't about risking losing him, but more about showing that we value him as a player. Zach is a pillar of the community, does a lot of community service and he IS a grizzlies baby, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

We made Zach feel welcome from the moment he stepped onto memphis soil (there is an article where zach speaks about how the grizzlies were the first team to meet him at the airport when he got off the plane.)

So there is definitely a mutual admiration between the organization and Randolph.

    Good for you.

You all will be wanting to trade him within two seasons.

Maybe a bit higher than I would have done it for...but he's basically yao for them, but with less blocks and more rebounds.

Gasol, ZR, and gay...those are going to be some pretty big contracts.

He never stopped putting him stats. He just wasn't a winning player.

I think the grizzles want to keep their core players. They value them as human rather than assets.

Question why would Zbo play any different now that he secured him contract. It doesn't make sense, because if one can assume that zbo only does what's in the best interest of zbo, then he can simply do what he's been doing. I seriously don't understand the logic. It's not about numbers anymore and zbo has been playing hard for 2 years. I think that the motivation for playoff success outweighs any change of attitude that would hurt him in the long run.

Thank about it this way: zbo has been tossed aside by 3 teams, and the grizzlies were the only one willing to stick their neck out for him and welcome him. Zbo has seen bad situations before and he won't let that happen agin knowing that he is at the end of his career.

Gasol will look so dam good in Rockets red! Saying that, Memphis had to make a choice and they did.

    Just wait, you'll see.

He's a brilliantly talented player that has been playing for a contract for two years. He'll only play if he's on a good team and things are going well. The moment someone gets injured or there's some sort of adversity, he'll fold like a cheap tent and you'll be crying because he's out partying, screwing around all night, getting in trouble with the law, and jacking up 25 footers on the court. Zach has no character. All that community service crap was all about getting a big dollar deal. Wallace bit on it. Watch it unwind over the next couple seasons.

Well, I thought I could have a conversation, a serious discussion with you, but I just realized that you in fact sir, are delusional. Now that I realize this, I'll leave you be.

    How do you figure?

    Trade still makes perfect sense.
