Would be good for Chuck as a person. I am not really on the pay Chuck Hayes bandwagon for a guy we keep wanting to replace for a real center every year. At least from a basketball move persepctive you dont pay guys like that alot of money.

I agree, Barkley should have considered himself lucky to even be on an NBA roster.

i said this before but 16 mil 4 years team option on the 4th year is a pretty good deal for both side... its a 100% pay raise for chuck and the rockets only spending 12 mil guarantee money on a very valuable defensive pf.

Hayes is a nice player and his journey is a nice story, but unless your team isn't very good, he isn't going to make or break the team.

IMO he's a goner. Morey ain't gonna pay market value for what other teams aka the Bulls are gonna offer. Not with Patterson, Hill waiting in the wings.

I would not pay more than 3 mill per year and no more than 2 years contract. He is 27 already and not athletic at all.
He is a hard worker but not a starter on any team on the NBA. So, we should use the money on a real center!

He is quite literally, one of the most athletic players I have ever seen.

It is very possible that he is the BEST PF on this team.

If we get a C, we might have to move Scola just to make room for Chuck, he is that good.

He is by far the best PF on this team. Period.

    dont hate

the reason why he has "no" offense is because he is shorter than every other center... but hes been putting up a very solid ppg since the allstar break, especially for a guy his height.

    please take your hate elsewhere

No, if Chuck was 6'-11" he wouldn't have a strong base and mightve been lanky with no hops.

Chuck is a back up Roll Player, although he is remarkable for a 6'6" player.MILL-4.5 per year for two years:p

    Are you his agent?

The worst thing the Rockets could do would be to overpay an undersized player who has no business in the starting rotation.

Chuck Hayes is abso-freaking-lutely a quality starter in this league.

I would give anything to see Kyle, Chuck and Dwight on the same team.
