www.sportingnews.com/nba/teams/rockets "It looks as if the Rockets have pulled off another second-round coup. Remember Othella Harrington? And Mobley? How do they keep doing this? With the NBA doing everything but pre-natal screening in an effort to find talent, the Rockets consistently find players in the second round. Go figure. Langhi still needs to work on his defense (what rookie doesn't?) since the simplest pump-fakes send him flying for phantom blocks. But that will come. He appears to have outstanding footwork (on offense, anyway), so he is rarely off-balance on the defensive end of the floor. And he has the confidence necessary to make it in the league. Langhi doesn't back down from a challenge, and he has a mean streak in him that will translate into strong play on the court. 'Oh yeah, I'm confident,' said Langhi with a laugh. 'That's half the deal in making it in this league -- confidence. And I'm confident.' " That Houston Rocket SECOND ROUND magic. ------------------ Forget regrets or life is yours to miss.
I would have to agree with Murphy on this one - the bottom line is that Langhi has the tools to be a good defender. His height and reach give him a great physical advantage over most other SF's in the league. He also has the frame to put on a decent amount of muscle to bang with them too. But he also has some great footwork as well, and that could be the key to keeping up with the faster SF's. Not only that, but he seems to have the drive to improve as well. If only Kelvin could muster some of that. ------------------
