team rules. Apparently it's something more substantial than that... haven't seen the report from anywhere else, though.

Not a lot of info at this point, but its possible that Drew and BU are doing the right thing by suspending him. The impermissible benefits are likely from an agent with no knowledge from BU.

This would mean little to no repercussions for the program.

Man, this is still terrible. BU doesn't need this.

Sounds like he's just declared for the 2011 NBA Draft, whether he intended to or not.

Good, I think the Rockets should pursue him. We need a guy with his type of upside, given our "superstar-less" roster.

Well according to Jason King it was the NCAA that suspended him and not Baylor so there is not enough info to say that BU didn't know about it, but you are right in that it is likely not a big deal for the program.

It's not even a big deal for the Bears season as it was pretty much an abortion of a season anyway and he was not going to come back likely.

Baylor appealing makes me feel a little better about future ramifications. This season is definitely one to forget.

I don't really care one way or another about Baylor, but they got screwed here if what is being reported is really what happened. Compared to the Cam Newton thing, there is some serious NCAA politics going on.

Yeah this is terrible if they really suspended him for his mom taking a loan that apparently was repaid by her a few years ago.

    NCAA is weak

They're just so uneven in their application of punishment.

This is really a new low for the NCAA, if this is really what they are suspending him for.

I was really hoping to see what he'd do if they made the tourney.

That may actually drop him one or two spots - but since he's one of the very best bets to turn into an All Star wing...he's going to still go quick.

Well, looks like it has officially come home to roost. I told you all the slimey things about your program would come back to bite you in the end.

Not even invited to the NIT?! Haha...

It's pretty bad when you can't even make it into the Not Invited Tournament. I just can't stop laughing. I am so ashamed that we let you beat us twice! Well, at least you have something to hang your hat on. Congratulations!

Looks like Drew, Thugdarius, and Perry Jones took a solid toll on your program. It couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch. The house of cards has finally fallen!

Better luck next year. I'm sure you'll win the whole thing! Haha

I'll check back from time to time. Have a wonderful off season.

A really good write up on Perry Jones. It shows the character of the kid and snippets of the kind of program the Drew has established.

It's difficult to cheer against such a quality individual as PJ3.

Sorry if it was already posted. Didn't see it.

Good. That's not how he should want to go out. Looking like a decent squad next year :)
