I know, not really shocking, but funny that the referee is calling even more attention to it by suing.

"Make up" calls have been going on as long as bad officiating has. It's cause and effect, they are directly related.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

What if the bad call was on a bench player with no fouls going into the fourth whiles the make up call was on an all star player with 4 fouls going into the fourth?

    How is that balanced?

This ref might end up getting $75,000 in the lawsuit for making a bad call.

They need to add a 4th ref and each ref is assigned an area of the floor to concentrate on. I'm sick of a ref from halfcourt making a call all the way in the paint. The baseline ref should make that call.

We should have 1 left baseline/1 right baseline ref and 1 ref on each sideline.

Make up calls are so common, and don't bother me that much.

I hate when owners/players complain and the refs start giving them call (obvious most remembered case of this is that series vs the Mavs)

I agree with this as long as, as you said, they make a rule for officials that they can't make a call on something that isn't in their area unless another ref is asking for help. I agree it's so bogus when there's a ref right there on the baseline staring at a play at the basket, doesn't make a call and then the ref from halfcourt tries to whistle something.

If that's true then we probably would have one that game if it weren't for that call against us.

It's just funny to me that this referee is suing. I mean, Clutchfans is the biggest NBA fan website in the world.. and it's geared towards the Rockets.. and I'd wager that the majority of us had no idea that this was actually said.

But now the ref is suing and it just brings more attention to it. Dumb.

if the rockets players played with more balls and vindication about the belief in there own selves...the rockets won't have to worry about skanky zebras, fail.

I've seen high school refs that could call a game better than some of these NBA refs! All over the league, teams are getting screwed over by refs! It's awful!!

To him it's probably worth it if he can actually win and get $75,000. He doesn't give a s*** about us.

Everytime Kmart gets a foul on a cheap 3pt pump fake, the refs make it up to the other team with a travel call on Kmart.
