Does anybody know what is going on with this guy?Is he in any Euro Leagues? I think I recall the last team he played for was the Nuggets, and he put up nice numbers against the Rockets one game. In Portland,he was one of my favorite players(outside the Rox of course). He has always been a very talented baller. Unfortunately his attitude has gotten him nowhere.

He is currently out of professional basketball, whether in the US, Europe, or on some other continent.

His attitude, work ethic, and overall personality are huge detracting factors. Even if he had talent, he just can't harness it like he needs to in order to make it in the NBA.

This guy is a bigger waste of talent then Shawn Kemp and Derrick Coleman combined. He was on the verge of superstardom and he just absolutely blew it.

Very talented player in college and at the beginning of his career in the NBA. His crappy attitude and taking the NBA luxuries for granted knocked his A$$ out of the NBA...

He was talented, but not nearly as big of a failure as Kemp.
Each year up to 1996, he gradually built an all around game for a PF.
Six years later, instead of talk of him being one of the all time great PFs, he's just some over-weight, kid-having, alcoholic.

    Sad..........

Rider isn't a life failure, just a basketball failure. Shawn Kemp is a life failure.

If Rider isn't at least trying to play in Europe, he's a fool.

He's a big name, and he can make some nice money over there.
