Its also worth pointing out that Scola averages 6 minutes less of playing time a game and still manages to post the same averages. Moreover, Scola plays next to Hayes who is also a decent rebounder, Bosh is playing next to Damp and Ilgauskuswho both stink.

Problem is, Bosh is not that effective down low against most centers and big PF's, they push him so far from the rim, he usually does a fadaway that always misses, he is most effective when he iso's in the high post. But who is going to allow Bosh to Iso when you have Lebron and Wade standing around.

Actually I take it back, Bosh was also pretty effective on offensive put backs. But that's only because Bargnani draws most team's bigs to the three point line leaving Bosh inside to grab boards. But now since Miami doesn't have a big that can stretch the defence, everyone's jammed in the paint, Bosh is just not strong enough physically to board with most centers.

Bosh also plays with LeBron and D-Wade, who are among the best rebounders in the league at their respective positions.

    That's a very good point...

But I think when the offense is completely failing in spots, and the other teams are able to come back from 10 point deficits every night it seems, you might want to actually give it a shot. At the very least it might get him going a little bit, then he'll be able to knock down the jumpers better.

LOL. I love self-hating Rockets fans. Someone makes a comment about Bosh's weak rebounding numbers (and yes for someone with his length, athleticism, fanfare, and salary it is WEAK), and for no apparent reason turns it around to say that Scola must be just as weak (even though he actually gets MORE rebounds with half the physical tools).

Say something negative about a Non-Rockets player and UTAllTheWay will quickly point out that there exists a Rocket who is just as bad (even when they're not). Keep fighting the good fight, man!

Good post - rep if I could.

When I watch the Heat , I wonder what that team would be like with a real plan on either end of the court. They rely strictly upon the individual talents of each player rather than their ability to create mismatches or open shots because of their talents - They are the Anti-Rockets.

I said it in another thread that this would be a scarry team with Adleman as its coach IF he could get the three diva's to buy into his offense. Same could be said of a guy like Phil Jackson and his triangle offense.
I just dont believe that anyone could get the three stooges to buy into anything other than their individual talents - these guy's arent NBA veterans like the three on the Celtics who floundered on crappy teams until the twilight of their collective careers and were hungry - ready to believe in a coach and his system.
Hell with the talent of those three idiots , you could play a simple inside out offense and score at will .... doesnt even have to be anything near as complicated as the Princton or Triangle ..... but expecting Wade or James to create every time down is just plain foolish.

I think Spolstra was thrown into a no win situation , those jokers are like the kid next door who knows everything .... The sum is much less than its parts in this case.

Repped because that's how I feel about the Heat also and for your sig also :)
What they need to do is trade away bosh for a big man and some role players.

Yeah , it was ..... just plain wrong. It almost looks like Letravel did that on purpose. You dont fire a pass that hard to a guy that close .... not to mention he had his head turned moving into position to set a pick. Either Letravel did it on purpose or he's just an idiot.
