I posted something like this a while ago because I thought the heat would be better off trading bosh for a decent big and PG. But what teams could make a deal. Plus I only see a western conference team making a deal with them so lets see...

Dallas? Kid Haywood would but then Dallas needs to find a P that can distribute Beabois is a beast but I'm not sold on his passing..

If they could get Nash I think that'd help them but I doubt Phx is giving up Gortat anytime soon for Bosh ha.

Bynum Brown? Would Miami want to take that risk?

I think when it's all said and done they will just wait for more Vets to come play with them for cheap trying to get a ring over the next 3 years.

At the end of the day if you look at the Heat's games Bosh is really not that big part of it. They could plug in any other PF like Haslem and have the same success or failure they are having right now. Bosh should have known he wasn't going to get that many touches in Miami if Wade and James need the ball in their hands. They are not going to be looking to get Bosh in the post that much and he will never be in the same rhythm that he is used to.

I think a guy like Millsap would be great for them. Because Utah is rebuilding and no longer under Sloan, they might be seeking offensive firepower instead of all the scrappiness they have.

A lot of people said Gasol was too soft to be on a title team but he fit the triangle O like a glove. And with that confidence, you saw an increase in his defensive toughness. I don't see Bosh ever getting the touches he needs with LeBron and Wade to be worth the contract; defensively he isn't the anchor or angry big man that will win them tough games.

Wade has a pretty solid mid range game and LeBron can get there if he puts in the work. McDyess and David Robinson had bulky/muscular builds and solid mid range games so there's no real excuse for LeBron.

Everyone in the league has so much depth, I don't think the Heat have a choice.

I'm sure they'll try, but it'll be difficult. He's really tanked his trade value this season - folks didn't watch him as much in Toronto, but he's getting exposed on a national stage right now. Charmin level soft, questionable intensity, weak board work, poor shooting %, somehow blocking less shots than before....

LeBron and Wade should be making his life a cakewalk, but it looks like he can't figure out how to take advantage. Worse, on the heels of his insisting that he not play center, it seems clear that he has no desire to be a hard working physical big.

And then there's the obstacle of his contract. It's not max dollars, but it's high. Couple that with the pending CBA likely to impose major cap restrictions and reduce spending. Why send Miami a hard nosed big so that you can pay Bosh in a hard(er) cap environment?

Humphries plus a bad contract might make some level of sense - I have to admit that I didn't realize that he's been averaging nearly 10 boards in 26 mpg this year. Maybe a S&T for Zach Randolph? Detroit for Greg Monroe and Rip?

...you guys are crazy if you think Riley is going to let go of Bosh so soon. Riley is a good GM...and also a prideful one. To admit signing Bosh was a mistake is something he isn't desperate enough to do yet.

....but for what it's worth, I don't think signing Bosh was a huge mistake. I think the biggest mistake was Riley not considering the changing CBA's effect on his ability to add talent to this squad. If the cap shrinks as anticipated and owners regulate themselves by eliminating "exceptions" as speculated - Riley's plans to build around his stars would be seriously hindered and the way his star's treated suitors this offseason- I'm not sure Riley would have a lot of sympathy among league owners/GMs.

Riley is going to have to just make it work with his stars.

Don't forget they're missing Haslem because of his injury.

they would be probably give it another 1-2 seasons max with Bosh. It really isn't Bosh's fault, Spoelstra's system is turning him into a jump-shooter and he doesn't even operate in the post as often as he was in Toronto

As much as I am open to trading Scola, I'd hope DM passes on that.

    No thank you.

I'm not opposed to trading Scola or Hill, but trading Lowry is a no-go.

And this may be ignorant, but I don't wanna root for Bosh. Keep this guy away from my team.

I agree with the premise that Bosh isn't the best fit for this team, but would also note, they have issues with coaching, depth, and the fact that as good as Lebron and Wade are, they too aren't the best fit - they are very similar players, both of whom what to be alpha dog.

So you've got 2 of the top players in the game, but at effectively the same position and in a situation where it isn't clear who is the true alpha (as it was obviously clear for Jordan/Pippen - who played similar positions, but worked because of the clarity of roles). You've got a "star" PF whose shown to be not quite as "star" like as previously thought. You got a young head coach, who probably has solid coaching potential but has been handed a near impossible task, and you've got little to no depth around them.

These are all the reasons why a lot of people were skeptical it would work and pretty much everybody discounted the ring after ring after ring scenario.

All of Bosh's warts have been exposed this season, not sure how much of an impact he would have on the Rockets right now considering the offense has been fine as is and he really isn't a closer or defensive stopper/rebounder either.
