Not yet. I think Morey will work his magic during the draft. But who knows what's going to happen as everything is subject to change. Maybe Morey wouldn't move a player like Perry Jones if he could get his hands on him.

How long have we been in the position to land a star? Tracy and Yao were taking up about half of the Rockets salary for a period of time. Tracy was only traded away last year, and Yao is still plugging up about $17mm of salary. I would imagine athletes would choose their jobs based on the same things that a normal person would look for. Houston has a good owner, good management, no state income tax, cheap land, and a metropolitan city. That's probably why its a magnet for basketball players to own homes in this town. Let's face the facts, stars want to play for money. Miami would never have been able to pull the trigger landing James and Bosh if they hadn't had the ability to sign them for max contracts and James and Bosh, and that Florida didn't have a state or local income tax.

Good points but this is wishful thinking. Howard wants to play where he can get a ring. That ain't Houston. I have a feeling (borne of past experience) that he'll wind up in Los Angeles where he can go be an alpha dog and get out from under the shadow of those triplets down in Miami.

The post you got mad at didn't even have sarcasm in it, tbh. You just read it completely wrong.

How is he going to win a ring in LA? He'll have Gasol, I guess, but Kobe will have fallen off a bit I think (though he is still Kobe). If the Rockets keep Martin while still able to get Dwight, he'll have just as good of a chance here. Especially with our management. The Lakers are going to have to find a superstar some other way. Maybe steal Griffin? ;)

Deron Williams. Has the better jumper and put up a gazillion assists against us with a scrub squad.

Dwill. I think he would fit the offense better.

But then again, It may just be because he was so impressive when we played the Nets, while CP3 was horrible against us on Sunday.

I wouldn't complain if we got CP3 though.

I would rather have D-Will as well... but only because it seems CP3 is losing a little bit.
