No way he is worth $7M! I loved him as much as the next guy but pay him $7M why? because he can dunk? Scola puts up way better #'s. Landry is a MLE type player in my eyes. not capable of 20/10 any given night. A career night for Landry is another night at the office for Scola.

I like Landry, but I do not regret trading him, considering what we got back. I really don't think this team would be better off with him than Kevin Martin, who we received in that trade. Landry and Scola are similar type of players - good offense with mediocre (at best) defense and rebounding. Hayes off the bench is a much better complement to Scola than Landry would be.

    He's a system player.

    He fits here perfectly.

This is a good point. I like Carl Landry a lot, but isn't this out of line a bit?

Landry . . like Artest . . brings and INTANGIBLE
that no other rockets seem to bring . . .
    TOUGHNESS

Hate Artest all you want .. the team seemed TOUGHER
and more confident with him around . .

In recent years .. primarily the TMAC years
Missing more than talent. . . WAS HEART!!

    Honestly. . . I think Landy + Lee >> Martin

I think Courtney Lee will end up a better overall player than Martin
    [maybe not a better scorer]

He is in his third year, how long are you going to give him to reach this magical ceiling?

You only bring Landry back if another deal materializes that brings in a Tyson Chandler-esque type of defensive player.

    Completely agree.

Landry would be our go to 4th quarter scorer and Lee is a better defender than Martin.

    STOP LIVING IN THE PAST!!

Landry is not the same player!! I watch all the Kings games I can on League pass and Landry is not the same player. His defenders are wise to his fce up game and force him to shoot. He misses and it's over.

In a perfect world, my schwartz would be two inches longer and be able to rebound (more quickly).

Don't worry guys, according to the many worlds theory, in a parallell universe Mandry is still a Rocket. Yeah, and in yet another universe the Rockets are contenders this year and all of us are happy as hell.

I'd be open to bringing Landry back, but we'd have to dump Scola somewhere. I liked having both of them here when we had Yao to clog the middle, but a Scolandry combo these days is defensive suicide. Landry's play this year has been a little disconcerting though.

Landry would cost a whole lot less...but I'm maybe banking a little too much on Patterson. I like him enough to gamble. Besides, maybe we could get something decent for Scola.

wouldn't help this current team much.

In hindsight, that was a great trade.

We've had a losing record ever since making that deal. Wouldn't hindsight say it wasn't a good deal?
