http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/solomon/7426055.html Here we are again. Faced with what could potentially be another hurdle to surpass. Issue after issue without a significant resolution. Adelman please stay! Morey must deliver at the deadline and give Rick a roster that will put us back in contention. Preferably a star player (as promised every deadline since he was hired as GM) or at the least a starting centre. Now, Daryl has the assets and the potential packages to lure any GM into serious negotiations to finally bring a saviour to our Houston Rockets once and for all. _____________ nine days to go
if wins come quick, then adelman will surely be on the hot seat. in fact, his smelly ass would be going bump-de-bump on the hot seat cos all the fans have placed a hot stove on it for him ruining our chances at Harrison Barnes.
The posted article says nothing about Adelman being on the 'hot seat'. Being on the hot seat indicates you are at risk of being fired. The article says that Adelman may consider retirement (not being fired) at the end of the season. Where in the article did you read that Adelman was on the 'hot seat'?
"Adelman doesn't always get the credit he deserves for being one of the best." Is Soloman the nom de plume of denniscd?
Thread title had absolutely ZERO to do with linked article. If you are gonna post a article, use their title. If you want to editorialize, write an article yourself.
I think the team may have screwed coach over with the allure of success. The team has been mediocre at best for the last decade.
I am glad Adelman is not a ring-counter. He understands basketball is a team game. Championships are won by teams, not by individuals players, not by coaches. And LUCK has a lot to do with it.
Adelman should follow the example of Sloan and retire with dignity. Rockets will never win a championship with him at the helm. Talk all you want about his 900 wins. How many NBA championships has he won????
It is not that he hasn't had a ring that bugs me about him being coach. It is the fact that he continues to play big minutes for garbage players and expects to win. We don't have the players for your system you big idiot, try something else. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is just the epitome of stupidity.
Aldeman maybe a very good coach and all, but his stubbornness in playing someone (Brooks) who is actually hurting the team's chances at winning is mind-blogging and ultimately will prove to be his downfall.
Rumored to be retiring. LOL Brooks done drove him into retirement.... http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/rumors/post/Rockets-Adelman-retiring-?urn=nba-321019
Ever thought that maybe it's not him, and it's team management forcing him to play Brooks so his trade value doesn't drop any further than it already has? Don't be so short sighted.
Unless you play for Al Davis, you have to presume that a head coach makes the decision on whom to play. Unless you have convincing evidence that Morey is making the calls on whom to play, then shut your pie hole.
I think Adelman has some gas left in the tank for another run but he also can see the end of the line here in Houston. He didn't sign on for a rebuild plan and it's pretty obvious he isn't the man for this particular job. This team should be at the very least developing their young guys instead Shane gets 39 minutes. Not blaming him at all, he is told to win and coaches will almost always turn to veterans they trust during winning time.
