yeah, i'm trying to figure out if it worked. it definitely seemed to frustrate lebron, but the first 4 possessions where they tried it, the heat got 2 ft's from bosh, then a wide open 3, then a layup from wade, then a foul on boston at halfcourt. it looked really effective but could hardly have been less effective from a results perspective. edit: followed by a behind the back pass 3 point play, followed by a lebron and-1.
the crowd is booing that call on ray allen? after the calls boston has gotten this quarter? garnett's out there throwing forearm shivers that turn into flagrants on the other team.
man **** the refs and **** everything about this game. wade and lebron can't make a ****ing layup or close shot to save their lives (how many shots are going to roll all around the rim for the heat and not go in?), house/miller/jones just got a ton of wide open looks in the final 3 minutes of the quarter and didn't make a single one (i didn't realize you could just dare 40% 3 point shooters to make wide open shots and that was a good strategy), and then after lebron misses a layup going against von wafer it ends up turning into a transition 3 for wafer (pretty much all you need to know about that quarter) who of course makes it (why would boston miss anything this quarter?). and then just to top if off, after something like 19 free throws for boston in the quarter, lebron just gets held and misses the rim by like 3 feet and the refs turn a blind eye to it.
why did rondo defending james work? because it didn't? it was probably the best 6 possessions the heat had in the quarter.
von wafer is having a better shooting game than the entire heat perimeter group who literally refuse to make an open 3. if that happens every game and the refs just hand boston free throws, then yes they will run the heat in a 7 game series.
no one can be worse with the ball than joel anthony. it's just not possible. he literally almost fell down just trying to catch a pass.
It's still a close game, will be a epic series. Rondo will not get away with all those fouls in the finals.
