I dunno but . .. do we need more guards? If we do this. . then we would need to trade for another pick in the lotto. Rocket River
I know Irving was beasting, but honestly, our PG situation is a mess as is, we really don't need another PG. I would say trading our PGs is best option, but honestly after seeing Morey try so hard to deal this offseason, I think it is a harder task said than done, and I think once we get Irving we'd be getting pennies on the dollar for Lowry and/or Brooks because teams will know we are looking to move them.
Whoever is the top rated 5 without a significant injury history. I haven't focused enough on the draft yet to give a decent opinion, but that's the position I'd target.
Not necessarily,it depends on the need of another team. Lowry is a 2nd tier PG,who probably will be able to retain his value unless he deteriorates. Brooks is at an all time low. Improved scoring can redeem his value. He is capable of making some plays. A healthy Irving would be a very big upgrade. All this is very unlikely,as you said though.
We've won too many games to have a decent chance for a top five pick. Yet we're still not going to make the playoffs. With the 12th pick in the 2011 NBA draft, the Houston Rockets select...
Irving looks like he could very well be the next superstar in the NBA. The guy can get into the lane at will, has nice courtvision, the J, and of course... finishes with authority. More than any one thing though ...He has "IT"..what some here have called a swagger...special,special player. And "IT" is why I would take him(assuming health) over the size.
That's who I would go with also, depending on what pick we have. Probably go with Irving at top pick though.
Enes isn't that big.. he's not even at 7'0" he's like 6'10" and has no injury history... so I'm confused on that one.
This season is over. At this point with 23 wins, it seems it will take much effort to reach 34 wins this season. A 34-48 record won't get the Rockets over the hump or ahead of teams like Utah, Portland, Memphis, or Phoenix. Obviously, Yao Ming wasn't or isn't the answer. Just find the next Ralph Sampson and Hakeem Olajuwon. Were Lewis Lloyd and Mitchell Wiggins really guility of drug use when they were suspended? Guys who replaced them like Dirk Minniefield just didn't cut it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psAy0BYnNDs&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YLRWPIQXdE&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNuoCzPNYRs&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPbz62IUnSY&feature=related
Some have him reported as 6'9 and 6'10 with shoes, to 6'11. Almost all have him listed at about 260 lbs with a 7'1 wingspan, so yeah maybe not a 7ft guy (it's usually harder to find a top pick who is a legitimate 7ft and can really play) but more than likely big enough to play center. As for his injury history: http://www.nbadraft.net/players/enes-kanter
A cleverly disguised NBA Dish or Draft thread. This is essentially "Who do you think should be #1 pick?" But by adding "If the Rockets got the #1 pick this year...", OP gets to post this thread in GARM. CLEVER!
