After working on his post for a while, I think I've finally got it. If you take the 13th letter of each sentence, put them in reverse order,
divide by pi, then rearrange them according to the Fibonacci sequence, here's
what you get:

AB, stop driving the f@$cking baseline!!!!

no. yao was not the consensus top pick at the time, with williams and even dunleavy being touted as the best talents in the media quite a bit. skita, caron, and amare were in the mix as potential #1 choices as well. plus the contract discussions for yao that were held in china were a big mystery to us fans and cast a large doubt over whether it was going to be worth the trouble to try and bring him over.
I dont think Parker's or Bibby's (he didn't win but his teams were damn close) assist #s were that much better than Brooks were last year....Not saying that Brooks is as good or better than either, but to label him just a bench player who can never be a starting PG on a winning team is not justifiable just yet...
Well at least this thread injects a little bit of fun, watching all these people ask, what does it mean, what does it mean to an otherwise unfun season.
you may have already been alive, but your cerebral functions may not have been fully developed back then. in any case kiddo, a cursory web search located these 2 pieces of history for your enrichment....enjoy.. http://www.suite101.com/content/2002-nba-draft-redo-a92923 "There have been many mistakes made in past NBA Drafts. The 2002 NBA Draft watched the number two pick, Point Guard Jay Williams, whom many thought should have been the top overall pick, have a career-ending injury via a motor cycle accident after his first season." http://sports.espn.go.com/nbadraft/story?id=1398733 "Dawson said Monday that he expected to get a commitment by Wednesday night that Yao would be available to the team for the regular-season and the playoffs. He said he expected to take Yao No. 1 and didn't foresee any major problems. He said the discussions going on are between Yao and the Chinese Basketball Association, not with the Rockets. Backup plan? If a reason to question Yao's situation arises at the 11th hour, expect the Rockets to think seriously about Mike Dunleavy or Caron Butler."
"To Hope and Prayers"? Well, this is a easy one. What word is synonomous with hope and prayers? Lovee!! We're getting Kevin Love folks, along with unicorns and rainbows. Championship!!!!!
Maybe his thoughts (AB, Hill, Batman) are the ones that are getting traded for his advice (7 ft player), and then his hope (Ish, PPat) and prayer (TWill) get playing time.
I agree.. people need to stop deifying members and just have fun with it. If anything doc has always been entertaining! I want to write my own doc rocket post and throw as much you know what against the wall... so here goes: "reviewing adelmans scowl one would think this might be his last season coaching..are their troubles ahead on the buss that MJs coach might consider the rockets? Montana may not be close enough but a shot at another super team and restored glory to htown? In the meantime daryl is closing his account at chase and moving his money to a 'citi' bank somewhere in brooklyn. Perhaps the financial favors will melo him out and we can all laugh with bated breath.. will he resign and was a one half year rental worth it? Will we miss the defenseless tango or stand patt? does the forecast call for cherry chocolate rain?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2x2W12A8Qow " just having fun before the deadline
Doc Rocket/Oeilpere/Popeye (not sure if they are all the same person/people) usually had inside info in the past.
Yao was considered the #1 pick -- this board exploded with post about him once we landed the #1 pick. Dick Vitale, IIRC, was squarely in Jay Williams' corner and thought we were making a big mistake not taking him. I don't think Amare or Caron were ever seriously considered to be taken with the #1 overall selection. Rocket fans were a bit unsure if Yao would be the pick because of all the talk we heard about the "China red tape" we had to get through. Also, there was the infamous Mobley interview where he said he wanted to trade the pick for Lamar Odom. I think DR maintained that Yao was the guy ever since we got the pick. There was another insider (oilepere?) who had some conflicting information. They were both considered insiders because Clutch backed up their claim. However, I don't really believe DR has been an 'insider' for this board in quite some time. When Rudy left and JVG came in, it seemed like DR knew less or posted less. This continued on with Morey, who as we know likes to keep things secret. DR may still know info, but he hasn't posted anything relevant to the sort in several years. The OP just looks like any others that could go in the handful of threads talking about the Rockets/Brooks woes; but because of his name and history, we'll have several posters wasting their time looking for clues that don't exist. On a sidenote, was DR even the guy who posted the riddles? Wasn't that oilpere/popeye? It's been so long since we've had a true insider outside of Clutch, I can't remember.
While I agree with a lot of what he says, I do not agree about Brooks (shocker)..... But if he is traded, so be it, anyone can go, IMO...... DD
