If that came out with some strong evidence from a credible source, it would be far worse than steroids were to the NBA. It would destroy the league. We're not talking about a lot of players cheating here. We're talking about a conspiracy in the league office to have certain teams winning games. That's far bigger than steroids.

Without a doubt, excluding a Rockets team, the Sacramento Kings. Their defeat at the hands of the Lakers was the ultimate screw job. I will forever feel sorry for them. Chris Webber and Divac deserved that championship. And it now will never be. It frustrates me that the Lakers did not win fairly.

The 08-09 Rockets comes to mind as well. So many things came to screw us. I'm not sure what we did to piss off the Basketball Gods, but we must've done something bad. Our "Big Three" quickly fails due to McGrady, who undergoes surgery and blocks a trade for Vince Carter. Mutombo, our spiritual leader and only other true big man, goes down en route to us getting out of the first round. Bittersweet. The battle against the Lakers was brutal and if it were not for Yao's unfortunate freak injury, (though I read reports he was playing injured against Portland. Correct me if I'm wrong) I'm a firm believer we would have beat them. Yao was having the playoff run of his career, placing the team on his back. Artest and Battier were a formidable defensive combo, while Scola and Brooks could pack on the points. We had one of the best 6th Man in the game with Landry. Lowry, Wafer, and Hayes were also great.

Defeating the Lakers may seem laughable to most, but I knew we could've done it, no, WOULD have done it. Denver and Orlando would've been next. A championship would have been ours...

Oh, how I wish for a DeLorean...

It's would've been a more interesting season if we had actually gotten VC for Tmac. And if Yao wasn't injured, that team is pretty dam solid with VC in the wing

they definitely make my "best teams to never win a title" list.

add the Oilers of the early 90's... :(

i think they would have beaten the Sox....

but those Oiler teams in the run 'n' shoot era were absolutely loaded with pro bowlers. way too much talent to have never even advanced to the conference championships.

the other team in baseball was that mariners team (2001, i think) that won the most regular season games in MLB history, only to lose in the first round to the Spankees.

If MJ was good at baseball and doesnt come back I'd say theres a good chance the Magic would have won the title 1996..

But the ones that jump to mind are the 06 mavs 02 kings..
