He's still the coach of the Cavs, he can't say otherwise without throwing the team under the bus and sounding like an a-hole.
Quote from Byron Scott: "Alright, I'm going to level with you all. The most important thing now is that you remain calm. There's no reason to panic." His nose starts to grow. "Now, it is true that one of the crew members is ill, slightly ill, but the other two pilots are just fine, they're at the controls, flying the plane, free to pursue a life of religious fulfillment."
I'd be willing to bet he regrets it a little bit. It's hard to regret a lot when you're getting millions a year, but that positive is discounted by the fact that he's coaching in an absolute **** hole of a city Here's a sample of what there is to do in Cleveland...
then i regret it for him...really good coach stuck with a really bad team but fortunately got a really good contract to try and soothe the pain of this horrible team
I agree Cleveland is not a good city to live, but with a couple million a year, I'm sure people will find brighter spots there. And during off season, he can live in Miami.
The only way Byron Scott doesn't regret it is if he didn't think another head coaching job would have come his way. Because this will be his last one for a long time.
