I highly doubt that, Spanoulis had a very large ego and inflated opinion of himself for a guy who was unproven in the NBA and frankly, sucked. He had brief flashes on the court, but thats it with the key word being "brief". He felt that he could get pt w/o earning it, and wanted to go back to Europe because he was scared of the bigger and better players in the NBA. He is the perfect example of someone who refuses to get better, thus wanting to stay in a system that allows him to be praised for mediocrity.

Stromile Swift was drafted #2 overall???? Wow, I would think professional sports scouting would be much better than that. Grade A athletisism and Grade F basketball IQ is a huge question mark, and should never be drafted that high unless he has PROVEN the capacity to be smarter.

MajorBond doesn't. Seriously, i wouldn't call Luther Head a scrub. He still had some good moments in Houston.

Thabeet could be incorporated into our bench just like Hill. I can definitely see him becoming another Mutombo. Not right away, down the line say 3-4 years.

I think thats the only way the rockets will ever get a high end talent. Its like the pacers-blazers trade with o'neal and davis. Instead of just playing o'neal or wallace at the 5, they traded a very talented player for a end of the line starter in davis. The pacers wound up with a 1st or 2nd team all nba player and the blazers run was over in 2 yrs. Thats how I feel about Randolph and thabeet. I think defensivley, thabeet can be all nba 1st team and I think Randolph can be ak-47 pre injuries. If i had a chance to get thos 2 and give up a vet, i would.

As i was saying, the time to do these type of trades would be now, while everyone else is focused on what happens to Melo. Sneak in under the radar, get Flynn and Thabeet, then be out before anyone is the wiser. Then you would still have your present team while at the same time aquirring yourfuture team.
