Yep, Brooks is not ready for the starting lineup. Until we see Brooks get his quickness back, he's where he needs to be. I think only one of Mills' buckets were well defended by Brooks, with another one a situation where he was guarding someone else on the fast break.
The problem with AB not starting is his value...slowly going lower. Especially if the 2nd unit guards are abusing him.
Getting 3s drained in your face, well nothing brooks can do about that, he is not long enough to contest any shot. geting caught on any screen, he's just not a good defender, so par for the course. Letting the shooter get his own rebound from the 3 point line TWICE. That's just being lazy and not playing hard.
AB has not returned to form. It's apparent. Coach sees AB more as a penetrating 2 guard at the moment. He's been scoring, but he hasn't really taken to setting others up or handling the ball well...
Well, crossing our fingers, he won't stay this bad. He's just not 100% at all yet, more like 65% if I had to pundit-style put a number to it. When he's back to 100% we can start him again, and all of Clutchfans except DaDa can say we're doing it to "showcase" him since that's what we do to all our worst players
Brooks' ankle is still sore after practice/games....once he's back to 100% he'll probably start...maybe within a week.
