Man... this reminded me just how weak the center position still is. I thought it was getting stronger, but it's still easily the weakest position in the NBA, in spite of the fact that it's still probably the most important position in the NBA.
Because SF's like LeBron, Carmelo, and Durant are technically frontcourt players. You could end up with 5 wing players starting
Chandler deserves the start, he is the 2nd most impactful player on that mavs team, behind only dirk. I can't believe we almost had him, and morey let him go and he ends up on the freakin mavs. Didn't that trade not go through because one of the teams wanted c~bud thrown in, what a mistake that was?
Exactly! Bynum is at the second position. He just came back from the injury and start one game. You guys also blame Chinese fans about it? People here are so over reactive to China.
backup in the east is a tough decision if you're going with just 1, it's either horford or bogut, bogut's the better player but still (and likely all year to be) suffering with his arm injury
In Horford I see a guy with a great jump shot, and average everywhere else, i dunno if i want the all star game being jump shot centres, what with the team being rounded out with great jump shooting wings. Since there are no double teams, someone like Bogut and Howard to just watch their post game at work (since the all star game is pretty much, let's take turns on isos half the time )
For the West, Al Jefferson should have been put at C instead of PF. Millsap has been the starting PF for the Jazz since October. Jefferson would have won easily. He has healthy with 32 games played. He has dominated some games. Last night, he dropped 31 pts/10 rebs/3 blocks. Yao can't play. Bynum hasn't played. The rest are roleplayers that get less than 30 mpg, except for Nene.
He is not average at all (Let’s say yes as a shot blocker) I am a little biased since he is a fellow countryman and since I’ve known him before the NBA became more than a dream. Aside from that, I think he is an all-around, solid power forward with Morey type efficiency, who keeps improving with every year and might not already be a star because his team is a real a committee (I always second guess what type of production he would have if he played where they make him the focus) I understand your remark about the All Star game though, he is not very flashy.
the problem is the player list of west center... Yao Ming (Hou) 637,527 Andrew Bynum (LAL) 376,283 Brendan Haywood (Dal) 215,905
when they did it, they obviously figured, noone can beat yao so lets put anyone who can be a forward, as a forward
