Trade him to Charlotte, so MJ and Yao can do commercials.

And we can get Stephen Jackson and Tyrus Thomas

I think Washington would give up Rashard Lewis and McGee for contracts that expire in 2012, Lewis' contract is so bad.

We have lots of options, and I don't think we need to do this.

Honestly, I think that Lewis, McGee, and John Wall for Yao, a TPE, and Hill might work. Washington would be very hesitant to give up Wall, but that's a bad contract.

How about just trade him for a slew of draft picks.

LOL they are not going to give up John Wall. You have to remember that when they were dealing Arenas, they preferred Lewis over Vince Carter's expiring contract.

no way..i think exact trade minus wall is possible but i dont think theyd be jumping all over themselves to get it done.

Lewis actually filled a need for them...they had 2 sgs and 2 pgs so they moved a pg for sf where they were the weakest at. Also gave them the outside shot they lack in wall. pretty blanced team now.

No way wall is included in a deal like this...they wouldnt trade wall for yao t will and and brooks ... hes a potential franchise player.

    Teams interested:

    Wizards - Rashard Lewis
    Clippers - Baron Davis
    Sixers - Elton Brand
    Magic - Gilbert Arenas

The wizards have a pretty interesting team.

    Wall/Hinrich
    Hinrich/j howard (finally back)
    Lewiis/Thornton/howard
    Blatche/Yi
    Mcgee/blatche

That is an incredibly balanced and athletic team...with really good verteran anchors in lewis and hinrich

draft picks are worth exactly zero dollars in trade scenarios.

So, unless you can find a team with 17M in cap space PLUS a "slew of draft picks", that aint likely to happen.

Lewis: Would have to bring another player in with him that can control the ball. This contract is ugly.

    B-Diddy: Do not want.

Brand: Can he play center at 6'9? Yao for Brand + unprotected 1st.

    Arenas: Do not want.

I think you can cross the Magic off that list. I think I'd only be interested in Rashard or Baron, but not for anything less than unprotected 1st rounders.

out of those 4, Lewis is the best option, if he comes with Mcgee. His contract is absolutely terrible though.

I'd be happy to trade Yao for 4-5 1st-rounders. Wouldn't work, though. You have to match the salary, unless we're trading with a team under the cap, Such a team wouldn't need an expiring.

Clutch thinks this was just leaked to gauge fan reaction? But isn't the fan reaction all over this forum already? We've got all kinds of fans, from the long time fans that know a bunch to those who show up one or twice a year and dont know any better.

Is it to gauge chinese reaction?

Seriously?? Yao making about 30 mil and playing 5 games through 2 seasons is disgusting. He is done and the Rockets know it. THis is in no way "disgusting."

It is something that needs to be done to try to improve the team. Yao rotting away on the bench is not gonna improve this team.

Isn't there a rule saying that if a player is traded, a certain amount of time must pass before he can be traded again? If so, it may put a hold on any trade thoughts involving Lewis.

    PG: Billups/Lowry/Smith
    SG: Martin/Lee
    SF: Anthony/Battier/Williams
    PF: Scola/Hayes/Patterson
    C: Andersen/Miller

That's enough to win a championship, or at least get to the Western Conference finals. I doubt that Melo would leave a stacked team like this.
